Are you passionate about cutting-edge technology and eager to make a significant impact in the energy sector?We are looking for a dynamic R&D Technology Engineer to join our team in Milan (HQ).In this role, you will play a crucial part in advancing our Extruded Insulation Underground Cables technology.You will manage various phases, studies, and tests for development projects, primarily within our Affiliate Factories, and work closely with our Underground Cable Technology Lead and Product Development Manager.Key Responsibilities:Lead technology development and manage projects and studies in collaboration with the Extruded Insulation Technology Lead.Provide technological assistance to the production plants to address specific issues during new product development and industrialization, as well as during the start-up of new production lines.
Oversee tests, setup of cable prototypes, and pilot productions with precision.Lead technological assistance for the plants on specific projects or items.Ensure the maintenance and transfer of consolidated know-how to stakeholders.Drive continuous improvement and evolution of our technology.Enhance and maintain product quality.As an R&D Technology Engineer, you will work closely with:Other R&D DepartmentsR&D Innovation TeamProduct Development ManagersCorresponding services in our AffiliatesAffiliate Factory Managers and Operations TeamsExternal Suppliers, including engineering companies, machinery and instrumentation suppliers, and materials suppliersResearch Organizations, Universities, Laboratories, and Cable Makers AssociationsWho are we looking for?A degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Energy Engineering, or a related field.Approximately 3 years of professional experience.Fluency in English is essential.Experience as a Process Engineer or in a related technical role involving production processes and/or machinery design.Ability to work effectively in multi-functional and multicultural teams.Strong interpersonal and communication skills.Hands-on approach and a passion for experimental work.Willingness to travel worldwide (at least 50% of the time).A valid driving license.Join us and be a part of a team that values innovation, collaboration, and excellence!Prysmian , as an Equal Opportunity Employer, aims to attract and recruit individuals with diverse backgrounds, skills, and abilities.
