Your team and your responsibilities:Team descriptionResearch and Development (R&D) in Europe is responsible for the planning, the development and the production of attractive, superior quality cars matching European customers and market requirements.TME Evaluation departments’ responsibilities are:

  • Validation of local developed powertrains before introduction to the market. We ensure the design is adapted and fit to European customers’ expectations and European suppliers’ production methods. This activity is done in close cooperation with our local suppliers and Toyota Motor Corporation (TMC) in Japan.
  • Establish the testing facilities to perform validation testing in the company.

Your responsibilitiesYou improve TOYOTA Powertrains and our test facilities for the European market, being part of the further electrification. We are going through a revolution in the automotive industry and that requires our test facilities to be redeveloped. New battery, charging, E-axle and Hydrogen test facilities need to be expanded.As engineer in the Evaluation department, you will be responsible for: * The development of those test facilities. You:

  • Gather test equipment needs based on future test directions
  • Propose budget required to enable facility transformation
  • Design and plan state-of-the-art testing facilities to meet current and future needs
  • Coordinate with engineering and construction teams to oversee facility development
  • Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations
  • The evaluation of electrification components. You:
  • Review new components with designers and decide evaluation strategy based on risk analysis
  • Plan the required evaluations and tests towards production preparation
  • Organise and execute the evaluation in close cooperation with technicians and test facilities
  • Analyse and judge test results and initiate the investigation of solutions in case of problems
  • Collaborate with external partners and stakeholders to stay abreast of industry trends and advancements.

Your Profile:For TME Graduate positions we are targeting recent University Graduates (less than 18 months of experience excluding internships)

  • You are fluent in English (TME’s business language)
  • You have a master’s engineering degree specialized in Electromechanical, Electrical, civil engineering or equivalent by experience
  • Good knowledge of test facilities and electrical installations is an asset
  • A team player that can work closely with suppliers, testing companies, designers and technicians
  • You possess project management skills and deliver results on time
  • You summarize and explain complex technical information in a clear and visual way
  • Hands-on, willing to get your hands dirty
  • You can demonstrate creative thinking to solve complex issues / problems
  • Appreciated computer skills: Project management tools, AutoCAD/CATIA, Python, Artificial Intelligence… in addition to MS office/365 tools
