Here, you will be stepping into a vibrant project organisation and work alongside lab technicians as well as fellow engineers as part of a dedicated team. Doing so, you will perform your tasks in a well-equipped laboratory, evaluate and conclude on various tests within thermal performance, mechanical and physical tests.“We truly practice the art of teamwork within this team. We’re always looking for ways to make improvements, sharing knowledge and asking questions, which makes for a very dynamic learning environment,” explains hiring manager Susanne Dehn.What you will be doing:Focusing on thermal performance and other product properties, you will plan tests, perform analyses and present conclusions. The work is very varied, and priorities may shift from hour to hour. Occasionally, you will be travelling to factories across the globe, being the expert when guiding local teams to perform tests according to standards. Doing so, you will be using the knowledge you gain in the lab working with lab technicians and fellow engineers, making analyses and exploring new business areas for our products.More specifically, your key tasks include:Guiding R&D development projects and participating in/initiating line trials at our factoriesExploring test methods and data to become the expert in the fieldParticipating in internal and external networks e.g. various European test institutes utilizing the knowledge gained for improvement of standards for insulation productsBuilding up new knowledge and innovative solutionsWhat you bring:You enjoy being part of a lab and are ready to dive into the realm of data and statistics. You do not need to know all there is to know about thermal performance or mechanical testing, but you will need to be curious and want to specialise within the field. It is also a great plus if you have material knowledge, as it will give you a base understanding of your future tasks.

In addition, we imagine that you:Bring a degree in chemical engineering or other scientific areaHave a couple or more of years of experience from a similar position, ideally within developmentBring solid communications skills, both written and oralPossess a natural drive to reach out and understand business needs and challengesAre willing to travel approx. 20 days/year across the globeAre a true team playerMaster the English language at professional scientific levelWhat we offer:Working in our state-of-the-art laboratory, you will have the optimal set-up to do your work.
