Join us at Randstad Digital.As part of the continued digital transformation across EMEA, we are seeking a Senior Project Engineer specializing in Server Hosting & Cloud within the IT Operations team.Working closely with the IT Operations team, including End User Computing, Identity and Access Management, and Networking, you will ensure high standards for quality, compliance, and innovation within infrastructure services.
- Mentoring and coaching squad members as well as agile coaches and Scrum masters in DevOps practices, tools, and methodologies. This includes sharing knowledge and insights, providing constructive feedback, and fostering a culture of continuous learning.
- Developing and delivering training or workshops on DevOps topics. This could involve creating training materials, conducting hands-on sessions and organizing knowledge-sharing sessions.
- Being able to share and translate DevOps knowledge to colleagues with less knowledge/experience and being able to level in terms of language in order to help them grow & upskill within the DevOps domain.
Key responsibilities
- Service Ownership: Take responsibility for the technologies supporting Server Hosting & Cloud services across EMEA
- Collaboration with Partners: Work closely with the Support Lead, support teams, and external partners to maintain service standards within SLAs and meet user expectations
- Proactive Approach & Automation: Implement measures to prevent incidents, maintain service health, and ensure compliance
- Mentorship & Training: Coach support and local IT teams to drive operational efficiency and excellence
- Technical Expertise: Act as the primary expert to address complex and critical issues as they arise
- Innovation & Transformation: Partner with the Solutions & Architecture team to lead the ongoing transformation and modernization of Server Hosting & Cloud services. You’ll actively contribute to various projects within the roadmap
- Demand Management Support: Assist the demand team in developing solution designs, ensuring standard solutions are prioritized in partnership with the Solutions & Architecture team and relevant partners
- Cloud Transition Leadership: Be a driving force in the shift from on-premises hosting to Azure Cloud
Qualifications & experience
- Professional Experience: 5+ years in a large enterprise environment with experience in project-based work
- Education: Higher education or equivalent experience; ITIL certification preferred. Additional technology certifications are a plus
- Technical Knowledge: Advanced skills and proven experience in the following areas:
- Microsoft Azure
- Windows & Linux Server OS
- VMware vCenter
- Storage solutions (Dell & HP)
- Server Hardware (Dell & HP)
- VEEAM backup solutions
- Azure Files & Azure File Sync
- PowerShell scripting
- BitLocker, Microsoft Defender
- Active Directory & Azure AD
