A tweezer array with 6100 highly coherent atomic qubits. arXiv:2403.12021. .Job descriptionWe are inviting an intern to join us for a research and development project centered on quantum error correction and its implementation with tweezer array platforms for 4+ months, starting as soon as February 2024.You’ll explore various quantum error correction codes, concrete implementations in noisy environments, decoding schemes, compilation procedures onto specific hardware architectures and how to perform logical operations with encoded qubits.Collaborating with seasoned researchers and senior academic experts, you will get hands-on experience with quantum processes, numerical simulation, quantum error correction topics and software development. The internship is hosted in a dynamic and technical team at the core of the company, making the interface between hardware, software and theory.About youYou are a student in quantum technology, at least at Master level, and possess the following skills:Hard skills:
- Solid understanding of quantum mechanics
- Experience with quantum information theory and algorithms
- Programming proficiency in Python or similar language
- Some technical knowledge of quantum error correction codes
- Strong desire to engage with cutting-edge quantum technology and fundamental research
- Strong desire to embrace complex, fairly new topics with limited state of the art
- Excellent problem-solving skills and theoretical analysis
- Proficient in English (oral and written)

- Strong communication skills for effective scientific discussion and presentation
- Self-motivated and capable of working independently
