About the jobAre you an experienced and operationally-minded quality specialist? Then please read on – In the job, you will be responsible for developing, implementing and maintaining the QHSSE and Business Area Wind Events Handling Process, Management of Non-Conformance Process and Lessons Learned Process for Business Area Wind. Working as part of a leading European utility also means you could be helping a growing number of major businesses and brands achieve their own sustainability goals through partnerships.As Senior Quality Specialist, you will take on a number of key responsibilities:Operational

  • Give independent, authoritative and high quality advice (invited/uninvited) to implement Quality systems and processes to improve Quality performance and ensure compliance.
  • Support the BA Wind teams on implementation of the BA Wind QHSSE Management System in cooperation with Quality, Health, Safety, EnSu and Engineering Specialists.
  • Support and coach assigned products, work packages, sites and accountable managers increase their Quality awareness and leadership to fulfil their H&S responsibilities by;
  • Supporting them improve on their Quality standards and culture.
  • Assisting with, reviewing and monitoring H&S plans, risk assessments and method statements and relevant Quality documentation from Vattenfall and contractors.
  • Leading task based and generic interventions and initiatives for operational activities and supporting in Quality assessment, assurance, control, surveillance and improvement.
  • Ensuring the management implements, reviewing and testing the Management system for its effectiveness.
  • Delivering Quality training and Value talks to site team and contractors. Reviewing and collating supplier and customer communication and disseminate to relevant parties.
  • Conducting Audits and Inspections on site with management, suppliers and contractors.
  • Conducting Supplier relationship management to collaborate, qualify, onboard, evaluate and reporting to assure quality performance.
  • Influencing contractor evaluation, cooperation and compliance with Vattenfall Management processes.
  • Ensuring Observations, Opportunities for improvement, Non-conformances are reported, handled and investigated in accordance with company procedures and legal requirements. Processing assigned Intelex cases and supporting feedback Quality learnings in Business Area (BA) Wind lessons learned database.
  • Reviewing and ensuring compliance with legal and other requirements, stated or inferred and supporting with any visits or information requests.
  • Coordinate, communicate and report on Quality status and performance on a regular basis.
  • On request, participate in 3rd party, External, Vattenfall Group, BA Wind Audits, inspections, visits, stakeholder events, assessments and investigations.

Drive transformation and improvement

  • Help develop and understand the business strategies and support us to continually improve Quality performance.
  • Continuously prioritize and drive progress on BA Wind Quality plan, targets and change initiatives.
  • Bring in and influence industry best practice and promote Quality interests internally and externally.

LocationKolding, DenmarkYour profileYour profile / who are you?The person we are looking for is a self-driven and experienced specialist who thrives in an environment with a high focus on process standardisation and excellence. Qualities we cherish are flexibility, proactiveness, generosity, friendliness, empathy, grit and a sense of humour.Additionally, we expect you to have the following capabilities:

  • Minimum a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, such as engineering, business management or a related field or relevant industry experience
  • Professional certifications in relevant areas such as Quality Management, Health and Safety, or Risk Management
  • 5+ years of experience in incident handling, non-conformance management and/or risk management in a larger international company preferably within the renewables industry
  • Experience in developing and implementing QHSSE policies, procedures, and best practices.
  • Experience with industry-standard problem-solving methodologies e.g. 8D, 7-Step, 3C etc.
  • Experience in leading investigations, identifying root causes and implementing corrective and preventative actions.
  • Familiarity with integrated management systems (e.g. ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001) is a benefit
  • A strong analytical and problem-solving mindset
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with various internal and external stakeholders
  • Fluency in both spoken and written English and willingness for some business travelling within northwest Europe is required
