Quality Inspector

Contract Type: Permanent

Salary: A£30,000 – A£35,000
Hours: 8.00am – 4.00pm

Role Summary

This Quality Inspector role involves working within a small, highly skilled team to deliver high-quality transmission components, primarily for the motorsport and aerospace sectors. The Quality Inspector will focus is on achieving right first-time quality through accurate inspection, strong technical understanding, and adherence to routed timeframes.

Role & Responsibilities of the Quality Inspector

* Interpret and work accurately from complex technical drawings and geometric tolerances
* Inspect components against drawings and planning route cards to the highest quality standards
* Carry out manual inspection using a range of measuring equipment
* Perform table work to validate components against drawing and planning requirements
* Support continuous improvement activities through proactive problem-solving
* Provide flexible support to other manufacturing areas when required
* Work additional hours when necessary to meet delivery deadlines

Requirements of the Role

* The Quality Inspector will have a strong understanding of technical drawings and geometric tolerances
* Experience inspecting precision components within routed timeframes
* Competence using manual measuring equipment
* Experience performing detailed table inspection work
* Programming experience on CMM systems would be beneficial
* Knowledge of Mitutoyo software would be advantageous
* Proactive, innovative mindset with a strong team-focused approach
