Are you passionate about analytical equipment and quality within a GMP-regulated environment? Do you want to play a key role in ensuring reliable laboratory operations that ultimately support patients worldwide? Join us as a QC Equipment Professional and help shape how we maintain, optimize, and future-proof our analytical equipment.

Your new role

As a QC Equipment Professional, you will be responsible for the qualification, maintenance, and lifecycle management of analytical equipment within the QC department. You will act as an Equipment Responsible, ensuring that equipment remains compliant, efficient, and inspection-ready, while supporting colleagues with your expertise.

Your key responsibilities will include:

-Owning and maintaining the qualified state of assigned equipment, including troubleshooting, repairs, and documentation

-Driving lifecycle management (LCM), including planning upgrades, replacements, and decommissioning

-Leading or contributing to projects related to equipment optimization, qualification, and implementation

-Supporting colleagues across the department with technical expertise and training

-Ensuring compliance with GMP requirements, handling deviations, and preparing for audits and inspections

You will work independently while collaborating closely with technicians, QA, and other stakeholders, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery of laboratory analyses.

Your new Department

You will join AMSAT QC Analytical BA, a department focused on delivering high-quality analytical support in a GMP-regulated environment. The department consists of approximately 50 colleagues across three teams: an equipment team, an analysis team, and a method support and review team. The department values collaboration, knowledge-sharing, and continuous improvement, and you will work closely with colleagues across functions and interact with both internal and external stakeholders.

This position is anchored in the equipment team, which is responsible for maintaining and supporting a diverse portfolio of laboratory equipment. The team plays a critical role in ensuring that laboratory equipment operates efficiently and reliably, enabling accurate testing and release of products. The equipment landscape primarily includes HPLC/UPLC systems, as well as a broad range of analytical and laboratory equipment such as Zwick instruments, DLS, microscopy, pH measurement systems, cold storage units (fridges/freezers), balances, and more.

In this role, you will contribute to a culture of quality, flexibility, and operational excellence while helping to ensure that our equipment remains compliant, reliable, and fit for purpose.

Your skills and qualifications

We are looking for a proactive and solution-oriented professional who thrives in a dynamic and collaborative environment.

To succeed in this role, you bring:

-A MSc degree in Natural Sciences, Engineering, or a related STEM field

-Experience from a QC function within the pharmaceutical industry and a strong understanding of GMP

-Solid technical knowledge of analytical laboratory equipment and lifecycle management

-A structured and problem-solving mindset, with the ability to work independently and prioritise effectively

-Strong collaboration and communication skills, enabling you to work across teams and support stakeholders

Additionally, you demonstrate a positive, can-do attitude and the ability to balance thorough preparation with efficient execution.
