The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the PYP framework and a commitment to creating a stimulating and challenging educational environment that inspires students to reach their full potential.Key Responsibilities:

  • Curriculum Delivery:
  • Plan, deliver, and assess engaging and inquiry-based lessons in accordance with the IB PYP framework.
  • Integrate a variety of teaching strategies and resources to accommodate different learning styles and abilities.
  • Classroom Management:
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that supports student well-being and promotes a love for learning.
  • Implement effective classroom management strategies to ensure a safe and orderly learning environment.
  • Assessment and Reporting:
  • Utilize formative and summative assessments to monitor student progress and inform instruction.
  • Provide timely and constructive feedback to students and communicate progress to parents and the school administration.
  • Professional Development:
  • Participate in ongoing professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices in education and the IB PYP.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to share resources, strategies, and experiences.
  • Extracurricular Involvement:
  • Engage in school events, activities, and committees to contribute to the broader school community.
  • Support students in extracurricular activities, fostering their interests and talents.

Qualifications:

  • Applicants MUST have the right to live and work in the EU
  • Bachelor’s degree in Education or relevant field; Master’s degree preferred.
  • Valid teaching certification/license NOT TESFL/TESOL
  • Proven experience in delivering an inquiry-based curriculum, with preference given to candidates with IB PYP teaching experience.
  • Strong understanding of the developmental, social, and academic needs of primary school students.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage students, colleagues, and parents effectively.
  • Proficiency in using technology to enhance learning.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and continuous learning.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a multicultural team environment.
