Cambridge University’s VPD Heart and Lung Research Institute (HLRI) is seeking a dedicated Purchasing and Facilities Technician to be part of a team that is at the forefront of biomedical research.We are currently seeking a diligent and detail-oriented-Purchasing and Facilities Technician to join our team. The role involves responsibility for receiving, inspecting, and recording incoming goods. The applicant will assist with carrying out stock checks and all services running through the Goods In department including ensuring accurate inventory management. The role also involves supporting the Laboratory and Buildings team regarding operational processes. This includes ensuring there is an adequate supply of clean laboratory glassware, moving equipment, setting up meeting rooms and assisting with general maintenance. The role holder will be a valued part of the Building Services Team that is part of an Institute that has a meaningful impact on global health.As part of the VPD-HLRI team within the Department of Medicine, you’ll contribute to our mission of advancing global heart and lung health. With 400 staff members, our institute is committed to delivering impactful research to combat cardiovascular and respiratory diseases worldwide. The impressive sustainable building contains laboratories, a Clinical Research Facility (CRF), office space and an assortment of seminar and conference rooms.
