Our Leeds manufacturing facility hosts a dedicated Services division that specialises in the maintenance and servicing of various rotating equipment and turbomachinery, including pumps, turbines, compressors, motors, and generators. We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Purchasing Administrator to join our team in the Services division at our Leeds manufacturing facility. This role is integral to ensuring the efficient procurement of materials and services necessary for the maintenance and operation of our cutting-edge equipment. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting our mission to provide reliable and efficient maintenance solutions for our clients.

Your main tasks and responsibilities:

  • Processing purchase orders and ensuring timely delivery of materials and services.

  • Liaising with suppliers to obtain quotes, negotiate prices, and ensure quality standards are met.

  • Maintaining accurate records of purchases, pricing, and other important data.

  • Coordinating with internal departments to understand their procurement needs.

  • Monitoring stock levels and placing orders as needed to ensure uninterrupted operations.

  • Resolving any issues related to orders, including discrepancies and delays.

  • Assisting in the preparation of procurement reports and analysis.

  • Supporting the purchasing team with administrative tasks as required.

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Previous experience in a purchasing or procurement role, preferably within a manufacturing or engineering environment.

  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.

  • Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.

  • Proficiency in using procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and process improvement.
