Together, we’ll create a truly transformative learning experience.JOB PURPOSEThe School Psychologist is responsible for providing psychopedagogical guidance to students, collaborating with teachers and parents to support the academic and emotional development of students, and designing intervention programs to improve the overall well-being of the educational community.AREAS OF RESPONSABILITY AND KEY TASKSAssessment and Diagnosis
– Analyse the students’ academic performance and detect their learning difficulties.
– Conduct psychological and psychopedagogical evaluations to identify individual student needs.
– Diagnose learning, behavioral, and emotional problems.Intervention and Support
– Develop and implement personalized intervention programs for students with specific needs.
– Provide individual and group counseling to students. Intervene individually and/or in groups with students to improve their academic performance and/or behavior.
– Offer emotional support and coping strategies to students in crisis.
– Support students to improve their well-being.Collaboration with School Staff
– Work closely with teachers and administrators to create a positive and supportive school environment.
– Advise teachers on techniques and strategies to manage behavioral and emotional issues in the classroom.
– Participate in interdisciplinary meetings to discuss cases and coordinate interventions.Parent Guidance and Support
– Provide guidance and resources to parents to support their children’s development and well-being.
– Organize and conduct workshops and informational sessions for parents on relevant topics.Development of Educational Programs
– Design and implement prevention and mental health promotion programs in the school.
– Collaborate in the design, implementation, and evaluation of individual plans.
– Conduct workshops and talks on socio-emotional skills, stress management, and other related topics.Documentation and Reporting
– Maintain accurate and confidential records of assessments, interventions, and follow-ups.
– Prepare reports and required documentation for team meetings, parents, and other professionals.Pastoral Duties
– Establish a purposeful and safe learning environment for all students.
– Promote the general progress and well-being of individual students and groups.
– Contribute to the preparation of action plans and other support mechanisms.
– Alert appropriate staff to problems experienced by students.Other Requirements
– Contribute positively to the morale and community spirit in the school.
– Operate at all times within the stated policies and practices of the school.
– Keep knowledge of wider curriculum developments up to date.

– Develop and maintain a knowledge of the school’s mission, strategic priorities, and structures.
– Perform any other appropriate duties as allocated by the Principal.
