Its laboratories are GMP and GLP certified and GCP compliant, and have been successfully inspected by EMA, FDA, and ANVISA.KYMOS GROUP is devoted in providing high quality and added value services to its partners and it is highly oriented to innovation, offering services of research, development and quality control in many different fields such as small molecules, proteins, antibodies, nucleic acids, and advanced therapies.KYMOS GROUP has a young and dynamic staff of more than 200 employees, and it is committed in promoting diversity, gender-equality, well-being, and initiative within its members, encouraging career development and internal promotion.Job descriptionWe are looking for a Protein Mass Spectrometry Scientist to be incorporated in our department of Innovation.She/he will participate in the development and validation of assays and sample analysis for qualitative and quantitative analysis of the proteins using liquid chromatography coupled to mass spectrometry techniques using QTOF and triple quadrupole systems.Examples of the assays to be performed are:
- Entire mass of determination proteins and peptides
- Peptide mapping and amino acid sequencing of protein and peptides
- Identification and quantitation of peptide and protein impurities
- Some specific mass spectrometry studies of other kink of molecules (small molecules, glycosaminoglycans, etc.)
Requirements
- Holding a degree, Master’s degree, or PhD in health sciences, with research experience in biology, biomedicine, pharmaceutical science and technology, biotechnology, biochemistry, medicinal chemistry, organic chemistry or bioengineering.
- Good knowledge of method development for characterization of proteins with liquid chromatography coupled to mass spectrometry techniques used in proteomics (amino acid sequence and quantitative determination).
- Good knowledge of HPLC/UPLC and mass spectrometry instrumentation (triple quadrupole and QTOF) and the software required to process the data obtained.
- Ability to work independently and in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
- Good knowledge in writing technical documents.
- Proficiency in English language.
- Knowledge to work in a regulated laboratory environment.
