BS5011-24-407This is an exciting opportunity to join the University of Brighton to contribute to Student Academic Success with the award-winning Brighton Student Skills Hub team. We are seeking a dynamic colleague to provide high quality assistance to our work areas which aim to enhance the student academic experience across the university. As Projects Assistant (Student Academic Success) you will provide assistance with the planning, delivery and day-to-day operations, such as student enquiries, workshops and new initiatives, as well as providing effective administration of a range of provision conducted by the Brighton Student Skills Hub.A key initiative planned as part of the portfolio of Student Academic Success activities includes creating engaging resources and content via our university platforms and social media. Other initiatives such as peer mentoring and community building form part of our new Access and Participation Plan and aims to foster belonging and community as well as improve student attainment and outcomes.To succeed in the role, you will have

We welcome applications from job sharersAbout the Brighton Student Skills HubEstablished in 2020/21, the Brighton Student Skills Hub is a relatively new department that exists within the University to support and enhance Student Academic Success. Led by the Head of Student Academic Success, the team consists of Academic Skills Tutors with specialisms in academic literacies, mathematics and statistics, transitions, peer learning and support, and English for academic purposes. We are based on the Moulsecoomb Campus in Aldrich Library, however this role may also involve travelling to our other two campuses at Falmer and in central Brighton.
