Job description
My clients Asset Management Department is seeking a Solar Asset Manager who will report to the Asset Management Leader in France. The role involves managing all aspects of the operation and maintenance (O&M) of a portfolio of solar assets, ensuring alignment with our strategic goals. The aim is to maximize asset value by optimizing revenue generation and ensuring long-term operational efficiency.Key Responsibilities:The Solar Asset Manager will oversee the technical, financial, and corporate social responsibility aspects of the assets, with responsibilities including:Supervising multiple solar assets (regular travel required)Maximizing production, minimizing downtime, and improving efficiency to meet or exceed business targetsMonitoring plant performance using KPIsTracking and calculating all plant losses regularly and implementing corrective actionsOverseeing O&M contractors and external consultants, ensuring adherence to contractual obligationsManaging compliance and mitigation measures set by authoritiesOverseeing PPA contracts and maintaining strong relationships with stakeholders (off-takers, grid operators, contractors, landowners, lenders, etc.)Preparing and updating O&M budget forecasts in collaboration with the finance departmentInitiating claims against contractors, manufacturers, or insurers when necessaryAssisting the Development team in setting up O&M solutions and negotiating agreements for future projectsProfile:Degree in engineering (process, civil, mechanical, electrical, environmental)Additional qualifications in business or project management are a plusMinimum 3 years of experience in a similar role, ideally within the solar or wind power industryStrong knowledge of renewable energy plants and associated equipment, including high voltage infrastructureHigh-level troubleshooting, problem-solving, and technical innovation skillsExperience in contract management and familiarity with Health, Safety & Environment regulationsExcellent communication and stakeholder management skillsLeadership, planning, and organizational abilitiesProficiency in MS Office and Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS)Autonomous, responsible, and able to travel within France and internationallyFluent in English and French, with a valid driving licenseNote: Eligibility to work in the EU is required.Please be sure to send me an updated CV along with your contact number to [email protected] if you are interested.
