We are seeking to appoint a Project Officer to support the portfolio of grants under Prof Alejandro Frangi. The post will be based in the Department of Department of Computer Science and also involve working with the Division of Informatics, Imaging & Data Science.The Project Officer will ensure that the project leadership team and members of the centre receive support in the delivery of strategic tasks and will be the primary point of contact on a wide range of administrative aspects, including coordinating activity across project technical areas, project meetings, review meetings, resource monitoring, recruitment, organising engagement events and workshops, procurement, & processing finance transactions, internal and external communications and dissemination activities.Prof Frangi is the Bicentennial Turing Chair in Computational Medicine at the University of Manchester, Manchester, UK, with joint appointments at the Schools of Computer Science and Health Science. He is also the Royal Academy of Engineering Chair in Emerging Technologies, with a focus on Precision Computational Medicine for in silico trials of medical devices. This area is where novel engineering and computer science methods meet regulatory policy. He is the Director of the Christabel Pankhurst Institute for Health Technology Research and Innovation. He is an Alan Turing Institute Fellow. His research vision was recently awarded an ERC Advanced Grant from the European Research Council. The successful candidate will play a major role in supporting the administration within the portfolio, working closely with Prof Frangi and the Programme Manager and will involve working proactively with multiple teams in the University and creating and maintaining relationships to support the smooth running on the research portfolio.We are committed to creating a fully inclusive and flexible culture, one where everyone can realise their potential and make a positive contribution to our organisation.
