About Us

The North York Moors National Park Authority looks after and promotes one of the most
phenomenal parts of the British Isles. Filled with breath-taking scenery, magnificent wildlife,
picture book villages and a dramatic coastline, the North York Moors boasts some of the most
diverse landscapes in the UK.

Linking Levisham is an ambitious, multi-partner Landscape Recovery Project at the heart of the
North York Moors National Park. It will showcase landscape recovery in the spectacular, working
North York Moors landscape, balancing nature recovery, farming and archaeological and
geological interests for diverse audiences to experience.

We are now seeking a Project Officer to join our team on a full-time basis, working 37 hours
per week.

The Role

As a Project Officer, you will lead and co-ordinate engagement activities for our Linking
Levisham Project.

Managing engagement meetings, site visits and events, you will showcase the project,
highlighting the vision and plans, in order to build support and awareness.

You will also work with the Ecology and Land Management Project Officer on specialist farmer
and land management engagement and develop a Citizen Science Programme.

Additionally, you will:

  • Lead on stakeholder management, consultation, and communication planning
  • Support Forestry England’s work at Wild Newtondale

About You

To be considered as a Project Officer, you will need:

  • Experience leading engagement and communication activities in multi-partner projects
  • Experience engaging and working with a broad range of stakeholder groups
  • Experience designing, undertaking and evaluating consultation activities
  • Experience working with farmers and land managers
  • Knowledge of National Parks and protected areas
  • A full, valid driving licence
