The position

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Manager to join our Projects & Analytics team within Global Logistics and Distribution. The ideal candidate should possess a strong background in supply chain management, to be able to be responsible for implementing the Regional Distribution Centre strategy (RDC) in collaboration with key stakeholders in the department and across Novo Nordisk. Acting as a liaison across the entire value chain, the candidate will be extensively involved in working closely with production sites and International Operations (IO) in building business cases, looking into product harmonization, value chain optimization, and taking local considerations into the business case. The ideal candidate possesses strong leadership skills, to successfully lead the process deliverables in high quality and in the right time, while focusing on stakeholder management.

You will also be highly involved in managing high complexity tasks and projects and take initiative to continuously improve supply chain processes and stakeholder relationships.

Responsibilities:

-Implement and drive Regional Distribution Centre (RDC) in collaboration with key stakeholders across the Novo Nordisk organisation.
-Act as a bridge across the entire value chain, ensuring product harmonisation, value chain optimisations.
-Implement according to business cases on benefits for management-level decision-making.
-Drive and implement RDCs collaboration with other project managers in the Global Logistics and Distribution department.
-Identify optimisation opportunities within Supply Chain, Global Logistics & Distribution

Qualifications

-Proven experience in supply chain management.
-Strong background in collaborating with stakeholders on an international level.
-Demonstrated ability to harmonize products, optimise value chains, and address local considerations.
-Proficiency in developing high-level business cases for management-level decisions.
-Presenting decisions to all management levels of the organisation

You will be working in a setup which provides great transparency in your projects. It requires that you can work with the planning of your projects in a high level of detail, as well as being able to take a helicopter-perspective when necessary. You should be able to present your projects professionally, concisely, and comprehensibly at all levels of the organization, both in writing and verbally. Our ideal candidate has strong project management, communication, analytical and organizational skills. You are innovative and driven by performing your tasks in a way that adds value; and not necessarily in the way you are used to.  

We expect you to have:

-A relevant master’s degree e.g., in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering or the like
-4+ years of experience with project management, ideally in a larger company with many stakeholders.

-Have been driving Supply Chain projects or understand the processes in Supply Chain.
-Have experience with a highly regulated environment.
-Have experience and proven record with senior management communication – verbal and written.

 As a person, you are proactive and responsible and with a work-structured mindset, goal-oriented and focused on driving things forward. You are known for your high motivation and engagement, and you have excellent cross-cultural collaboration and stakeholder engagement skills.
 

About the department

Global Logistics & Distribution (Global L&D) is a central function in the Supply Chain organisation in Product Supply, managing all cross-functional Supply Chain systems and processes. We are app. 70+ employees in Bagsværd (DK) and 15 in Bangalore (India). The department is overall responsible for the global distribution of Novo Nordisk products between production sites and to our affiliates and regional offices across the globe, focusing on delivering a high service while balancing the environmental footprint with the fiscal impact. Furthermore, we have responsibility for in- and outbound warehouses in the Product Supply network. While taking the responsibility for global distribution, Global L&D is responsible for overseeing and complying with all regulatory and quality requirements related to distribution of pharmaceuticals, managing the distribution cost and performance management of our warehouses and vendors.
