Job description

PositionThis role focuses on the implementation of contracts for robotics applications across diverse domains, including space, terrestrial, aerial, and underwater environments. The position entails managing projects funded by the European Space Agency (ESA), the European Commission (EC), and business-to-business (B2B) clients, ensuring the successful delivery of advanced robotics solutions.The successful cndidate will also coordinate project partners, maintain strong customer relationships, and contribute to business development efforts. This role plays a crucial part in driving forward innovative robotics projects that address complex challenges across multiple sectors and environments.The successful candidate will be part of the Robotics, Software & Intelligence (RSI) Team.The candidate will mainly report to the RSI Team Lead.

Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Manage day-today Technical and Programmatic aspects of proects and apply the relevant Company procedures and process
  • Lead software and system architectures definition, interfaces design, and manage integrations across projects
  • Act as main interface to customers, ensuring timely follow-up of actions
  • Interact closely with Technical Leads as well as with the Finance/Project Control Team
  • Act occasionally as the Technical Lead (depending on projects and work scope)
  • Ensure the timely release and delivery of projects deliverables, with required quality level
  • Produce required documentation.

Skills and Experience

  • A Master (or PhD) degree with a major in Computer Science (software engineering)
  • At least 3 years of professional experience in software development
  • At least 2 years of dedicated experience with project management responsibilities in projects involving robotics software
  • Knowledge of software engineering life cycles
  • Hands-on experience with Continuous Integration processes and agile software development
  • Complex software architectures assemblies, deployment and testing (e.g. Docker)
  • Proficiency with technical documents production
  • Strength to cope with schedules and deadlines
  • Excellent written and spoken English.

Considered as Assets

  • Agile methodology such as Scrum using tools such as JIRA
  • Previous experience with B2B, ESA and/or EC project management is a strong asset for the position
  • Writing proposals for EC/ESA or commercial contracts.
