In our facility in Essen, Belgium, we offer our end to end project management that includes all steps from concept engineering, construction to commissioning and lifecycle services. For this site in Essen, Belgium, we are looking for a

Project Manager

Responsible for leading multiple medium size projects

The Project Manager is responsible for management of jobs awarded to company, to provide support and tasking direction to the engineering, sourcing and sub-contractors for ensuring deliveries to customer within allocated schedule, budget and customer satisfaction. This will consist of Project related administrative tasks, customer interface and primary link between customer and forecasting, planning, risk identification, change management, inventory listing, billing, and payment collection action owners.

Core duties include subcontract scope work allocation, progress tracking and application for payment management, engineering coordination and task management, and project planning for assigned activities. Also manages assigned technical work force and customer satisfaction.

Responsible for all aspects of project planning and. Also responsible for Project compliance and adhering Safety-First culture. Responsible for lesson learnt on the job are translated into best practices implementation.

Well versed with all functions required for delivering customized & standardized gas projects/solutions/applications, well acquainted with sourcing, design & engineering, project management, production aspects.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Accountable for executing Project orders. ensure performance improvement on customer satisfaction, Cycle Time improvement, safety, quality, delivery, productivity, cost and minimizing working capital requirement without compromising on deliverable compliance to customer specifications.

  • Prepare & own project plans, schedule, track budgets allocated, documentation compliances and on time delivery of project
  • Promote teamwork and lead assigned cross-functional teams
  • Promote total project ownership culture from sales handover to completion
  • Project related resource planning and monitoring
  • Supervision of sub-contract labour (office) and services
  • Assistance as necessary for off-site activities e.g. Handover/Kick-off mtgs, inspection, installation, commissioning, servicing etc. with clients and suppliers
  • Provision of training for clients and staff when requested
  • Daily engagement and teaming with customers, project team members, sales and marketing, project operations, factories, and management to ensure excellence in delivery and overall project performance
  • Contribute towards continuous improvement of Project Planning and execution process including alignment to business directives and target goals
  • Ensure adaption of lessons learnt from other projects and adaptions of the best practices of custody metering skid fabrication business
  • Safety: establish safe work practice and company policies and continuously improve the site safety culture and meet / exceed all Health, safety, and Environment key performance matrices.
  • Delivery of project, meeting all specification requirements, on agreed schedule and on allocated cost budgets
  • Participate in progressive project review meeting with client and ensure to share the customer requirements and customer expectations on project deliverables.
  • Quality: Adherence to QMS, Collaborate with Quality manager on deliverable quality
  • Support during bid preparation

ATTRIBUTES AND SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

  • BS or BA degree in relevant engineering discipline
  • Min 5 years’ experience in similar role in process control industry
  • In depth knowledge flow measurement and regulating gases
  • Preferably conversant with International, Belgium and Dutch codes and standards for gas industry
  • Successful leadership
  • Ability to analyze complex problems and arrive at sound solutions
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Language skills: Dutch, English fluent. French and German appreciated
