Are you ready for duty?The roleThe Project Manager Production is responsible for the coordination and execution of the construction process of building a ship or a part of the ship (module). Since the shipbuilding production sites are located around the globe, it is important that you are available for significant business travel and/or working abroad for a long duration.Key accountabilities
As the Project Manager Production, your key responsibilities will include:Being responsible for the execution and coordination of all production activities of a shipbuilding project.Coordinating the shipbuilding process within the set budget, planning and quality targets.Advise in, and help with the development of the building strategy, sequence, and approach for the execution phase of a shipbuilding project.Providing measures and/or alternative solutions if planning and/or quality cannot be achieved.Managing a team of supervisors and ensuring this team has the required qualifications and capacity.Overseeing the actual construction, delegating work activities and coordinating supervisors and subcontractors.Controls the activities by means of registration, analysis, verification, evaluation, and corrective measures.Advising on additional work and variations on planned building processes.Skills & experience
To excel as the Project Manager Production, you should possess the following qualifications and qualities:3+ years of experience leading a production team over a complex (shipbuilding) project.Solid experience working on the production of complex (naval) shipbuilding or offshore solutions.Bachelor or Master degree in Maritime Engineering, Naval Architecture or another technical study.Good command of the English and Dutch language (written & verbal).Available for significant business travel and /or working abroad for a long duration.Excellent references antecedents as a pre-employment security screening is standard part of the recruitment procedure. * Permanent EU citizenship and passport are both required. Candidates with EU (work) visa or with both an EU and non-EU nationality and/or passport are not eligible in accordance with the requirements imposed by the military nature of our projects.
