The vacancy will close as soon we find a suitable candidateYour contribution to TenneTThe electrical power system is in the middle of a transition that is significantly increasing the complexity of system operations. This change is driven by political, regulatory, environmental and technological background. Therefore System Operations needs to be prepared for the challenges ahead by influencing future regulation and relevant stakeholders, by contributing to national & international activities, identifying future needs for innovations, developing ingenious concepts and knowledge to ensure TenneT is prepared to also operate the future power system with the same level of reliability and security, as we have today!In the department of System Operation you contribute directly to these challenges together with your colleagues that are experts by identifying the future needs and taking initiative for organisation of all necessary developments. You promote innovation and propose improvements for system operations in close collaboration with many internal and external as well as national and international stakeholders.You will:

  • Lead and manage multiple initiatives, ensuring they align with our strategic goals.
  • Participate in national and international programs and optimize portfolio planning by aligning initiatives to meet organizational demands.
  • Ensure compliance with national and European Energy Laws, Regulations, and Codes.
  • Collaborate closely and trustful with the colleagues in SOP and other TenneT departments to bring these important aspects of future system operation forward and to help organise relevant and innovative solutions in the area of offshore system.
  • As our Project Manager, you’ll apply your expertise to manage complex projects. You recognize and understand, through experience and technical background, possible problems; You proactively coordinate and manage the projects.
  • Your technical background and strategic thinking will contribute to successful outcomes.

Your profile and background

  • You successfully completed your academic studies in Electrical/Power Systems Engineering, Energy Management, or a related field, with a strong affinity for project management.
  • Multiple years of experience in working for a transmission system operator is highly preferred
  • You have knowledge of processes in system operation (planning and close to real time)
  • You have experience in project management in an engineering discipline(preferably electrical engineering)
  • A positive attitude towards working in an international team with different nationalities is of importance, connection is key for you to succeed
  • You are open minded, like to work with engaged people, have a good sense of humour and you get your energy out of complex concept developments
  • You have the ambition to learn and develop yourself and drive the energy transition together with your colleagues
  • Good verbal and writing skills in English are mandatory
