Project Manager

KBR’s global business comprises two main segments – Sustainable Technology Solutions (STS) and Government Solutions (GS). This role sits within STS in the Integrated Solutions business unit. Integrated Solutions is the engineering and project delivery group providing services which include front-end and detailed engineering, procurement, construction services, and program management primarily in the hydrocarbons and energy transition industries.

As part of a strategic development review, KBR is currently looking to expand its execution capability within the Europe, Africa and Middle East area to support energy projects across a range of technologies supporting energy security, transition and the green H2 / ammonia value chain.

We are looking for a Project Manager based in Leatherhead. Reporting to the Director of Projects for the region the successful candidate will have a primary responsibility for the delivery of FEED, detailed design and PMC projects. The qualified candidate will have a range of prior experience across the sectors with a focus on commercial project delivery including contract framing / negotiation, change management, licensor engagements, tender package development and evaluation and project closeout.

Other key aspects are;

  • Senior professional with strong personal drive and credibility with both internal and external stakeholders.

  • Assures safe project execution to the client’s satisfaction, consistent with cost, schedule and contractual requirements while maintaining bottom line responsibility for financial success.

  • Delivers expected results for financial, HSE, client satisfaction, budget and schedule performance.

  • Role may include working as part of a larger project delivery team to delivery large / complex projects or leading projects alone.

  • A high energy individual with a desire to make a difference and offer suggestions for improvement & recommendations.

  • Serves as prime point of contact between the client and company, building strong working relationships.

  • Assures the project execution is in accordance with policies, procedures, systems, and requirements approved by the company.

  • May serve as a proposal manager on pursuits, gaining executive approvals where required, through to final contractual negotiations.

  • Must be flexible and able to adapt to changing project-related priorities and deliver high quality, accurate work within required deadlines.

  • Plans the project execution and revises the plan as necessary and assures adherence to the plan. Keeps the client and company advised of project status.

  • Manages risks to avoid delays or reputational damage.

  • Leads the project management team and is responsible for the successful completion of the project.

  • Train, develop & mentor the next generation of Project Managers

  • Abides by the KBR Code of Business Conduct and business ethics.

  • Skills typically required through the completion of an undergraduate degree and possession of a professional qualification in engineering or project management.

  • Strong engagement and influencing skills, with the ability to gain the confidence of senior management/executive leadership as well as multi-disciplinary and multi-cultural peers/subordinates.

  • Good awareness of environmental and sustainability issues.

  • Relevant experience at Project Manager level.
