Project Manager

Job Description:

The Project Manager will be responsible for initiating prioritised projects, creating plans, and relevant governance to deliver against outcomes. The Project Manager will manage teams of multidisciplinary colleagues in a virtual and matrix environment to ensure project delivery is executed to the highest standards and risks and issues are effectively identified, managed, and mitigated. With a broad range of stakeholders, the Project Manager must be able to lead, communicate, challenge and influence at all levels. The Project Manager will work with the Product Delivery Lifecycle team ensuring alignment and adoption of preferred ways of working.

Hybrid Work, 3 days a week in the office

Key Responsibilities:

Project Management

• Accountable for the end-to-end delivery of projects within the portfolio

• Leadership of project teams, ensuring delivery though these teams at the highest standards to achieve project benefits

• Planning and tracking of projects, including communication of progress through regular reporting

• Identification and management of risks, issues and dependencies to prevent or reduce impact on delivery within projects

• Management of risks and issues to prevent or reduce impact on project delivery

• Ability to influence and engage a variety of stakeholders across the organisation

• Ability to apply project methodology to achieve project outcomes

Engagement

• Work with global and regional business stakeholders to deliver projects effectively

• Work closely with stakeholders, building strong relationships, to manage and monitor project progress and ensure timely and effective reporting and project updates

Measuring success

• Delivery of projects to time / cost / scope / quality in line with PMO defined methodology

• Ensure risk, issues and dependencies are effectively managed in projects

• Ensure effective Quality Control and compliance to process within projects

Skills and Experience:

• Qualified in a structured PM discipline e.g. Prince, MSP, PMI, APMP

• Demonstrable experience of small and medium scale project deliver

• Demonstrate leadership of multi-disciplinary teams in a matrix and virtual environment to deliver results

• Ability to quickly build meaningful relationships, with strong influencing and negotiation skills, demonstrable at all levels within the organisation

• Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate and present to all levels

• Ability to tailor styles and approach to suit audience and requirements while operating in a fast paced and changing environment

• Enthusiastic with high levels of energy, self–motivation, resilience, drive and initiative.

• Strong problem solving skills and self-starting nature

• Advanced MS Office Suite skills

• Experience of working in an Agile Environment
