Project Manager
HR PMO EMEA
(12 month temporary role)
This role can be located in any BSC hub location in EMEA (London, Paris, Milan, Madrid, Warsaw, Dusseldorf) & Galway.
Purpose
-Responsible for supporting the profitable and sustainable growth of Boston Scientific EMEA, through the management of key projects aligned to the EMEA regional strategy. Specific responsibilities include strategic and operational planning & governance, process improvement, business analysis, organizational design, change management and development of transformation through key projects.
-This role is specifically focused on delivering strategic projects contained with the BSC strategic plan (Sales Capabilities; Clinical Sales Roles Experience) and leading/ supporting projects within the HR EMEA PMO.
Responsibilities
-Drive HR projects supporting business initiatives; manages design, planning & implementation of projects: Develops project plans outlining scope, work activity definition, timelines, roles and resources; Identifies and leads implementation team including local country/ Flexpool & functional representatives; Works with local country/Flexpool and functional team members to ensure that all supporting infrastructure including project guidelines, processes, training programs, organizational structure and new roles are developed and communicated.
-Provides updates to management and all stakeholders, of progress through frequent communications of findings at regular intervals via reports and meetings. Develops implementation strategy, appropriate close down and lessons learned. Ensure benefits realization and customer satisfaction of developed projects to HR and Business.
-Partner with key stakeholders to develop change management strategies and tactics, to enable change over the longer term, prioritising a collaborative approach.
-Develop comprehensive measurement tools (KPI’s) to measure the effectiveness of the project.
-Develops recommendations: Develops and delivers project recommendations to stakeholders; develops implementation strategy and plan. Provides regular communication to appropriate stakeholders.
-Vendor partner management with a particular focus on operationalization & continuous improvement efforts (through targeted user feedback collection).
-Elevate issues and clear barriers to team progress. Quickly resolve conflicts and involve functional management as required.
-Establish and support a work environment of continuous improvement that supports BSC’s Quality Policy, Quality System, and the appropriate regulations for the area they support. Ensure employees are trained to do their work and their training is documented.
Management Requirements
-Lead a group or team of employees in the achievement of organizational goals – guide, coach, direct as applicable.
-Foster a diverse workplace that enables all participants to contribute to their full potential in pursuit of organizational objectives.
-Direct and control the activities and budget of one or more functional areas, divisions, product groups, projects/programs and/or operations.
-Monitor and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures (e.g. federal/country and regulatory requirements).
Required Knowledge & Experience:
-Bachelor’s degree plus 4-6 years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
-Project and Program Management experience of at least 5 years
-Ability and willingness to travel as required (10-15%)
-Must be eligible to work in Europe.
-Strong understanding of Change Management practises with excellent interpersonal skills and emotional intelligence.
-Ability to coach, mentor and lead others in project and program management arena
Preferred Qualifications:
-Management of a portfolio of programs
-Experience with communication and influencing at the management levels across a cross-functional and global organization.
