Application (What we make) :
Develop new ISO26262/IEC61508 compliant mixed-signal power management IC products for the automotive and industrial general markets.
Competence (What we use) :
Apply ISO 26262 functional safety design principles, requirements, procedures, instructions, and record collection methodologies to develop automotive semiconductor mixed-signal power management IC’s.
Setup and manage NPI project safety activities to meet project objectives
Execute safety deliverables such as the safety plan, safety assessment plan, and safety case.
Track and report on the progress of NPI project safety tasks.
Organize technical reviews with the NPI project teams to ensure that functional safety requirements are met throughout the product development lifecycle.
Monitor the identification and analysis (qualitative and quantitative) of system component single point and latent failures of system functions, using inductive and deductive methods (FMEA, FMEDA, and FTA).
Prepare and organize the safety confirmation reviews of the safety work products with the NPI project teams.
Identify and report deviations to safety management process.
Organize and prepare functional safety assessments per the safety assessment plan.
Track and complete corrective actions and improvements as needed per assessment findings.
Monitor system integration validation testing and hardware fault injection testing.
Technology (How we do it) :
Self-starter who works well with others in an organized and proactive way to accomplish organizational goals and meet New Product Introduction (NPI) project objectives on time with minimal guidance.
Engineering degree in a relevant technical field.
3-5 years’ experience in safety project management, technical project management, or quality management.
Solid understanding of functional safety and project management concepts.
Demonstrated technical leadership in a team of engineers.
Skills: Effective interpersonal communication to motivate and influence others in the face of opposition; ability to lead and work with engineering teams “hands on”; capable of achieving success in a changing environment; proficient analytical and problem solving abilities; concise writing and documentation.
Certification in ISO 26262 and/or IEC 61508 and Automotive semiconductor experience preferred, but not required.
