Overview

The Project Manager’s role is to plan, lead and maintain the overall delivery of clinical research studies supported by THREAD. The Project Manager (PM) is a detail-oriented, customer focused and clinical research experienced THREAD team member. The PM focuses on project plans/timelines, risk mitigation, action items, conflict resolution, customer satisfaction and ensuring projects are delivered with the highest quality on schedule within budget. The PM is the primary point of contact for THREAD with the organization’s customers and partners.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Understand and implement the project strategy and translate the agreed upon approach to THREAD customers and partners.
  • Provide Consultative Support and Guidance to THREAD Enterprise and Self-Service Customers
  • Lead project workshops and development of project user journeys through analysis of objectives and understanding of need. Own workshop deliverables.
  • Accountable for project communications and documentation standards.
  • Serve as the primary contact with THREAD customers and partners to lead communication, project milestones and overall delivery on schedule.
  • Review prototypes of applications developed by the Solution Design Leads to assess suitability to meet the business need.
  • Oversee Project Specialist and cross-functional activities and mentor junior personnel, setting high standard and preparing them for advancement within the organization.
  • Develop and manage project plans and proactively oversee cross-functional teams in executing against the project plan(s).
  • Manage Data Transfer Agreement (DTA) assignments.
  • Perform trainings internally and externally.
  • Lead problem solving and resolution efforts by assisting with issue identification, resolution, documentation, and escalation.
  • Organize and run customer meetings with rapid response to all follow-up requests and actions to enable project timelines.
  • Manage risk and contingencies proactively with the project risk register.
  • Lead issue investigation, problem solving and resolution efforts pulling in THREAD SMEs from cross-functional teams as needed.
  • Manage the scope-of-work, budget, change orders and third party vendors as required.
  • Partner with other THREAD Project Managers to develop and implement business process improvement activities.
  • Provide Tier 2 support (as needed) for sites and study teams.
  • Other related duties as required by business need.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Excellent Customer Relationship Skills
  • High EQ (Emotional Quotient)
  • Understanding of Software as a Service (SaaS) technology platforms
  • Understanding of Scrum and Agile Methodologies
  • Knowledge of Jira, Confluence, MS Office, MS Project, User Flows
  • Understands and utilizes project management practices and terminology
  • Experience monitoring the use of consistent tools and methodologies
  • In depth knowledge of applicable clinical research regulatory requirements; i.e., Good Clinical Practice (GCP) and International Conference on Harmonization (ICH) guidelines

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences or any other bachelor’s degree or related field experience is required.
  • 5+ years of experience in mHealth/Clinical Research Project Management
  • Experience with Clinical Trial Technologies is mandatory.
  • Significant experience managing stakeholder relationships
  • Significant experience managing cross-functional teams in a dotted line capacity is mandatory

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Willing to travel as necessary
  • Excellent oral, written and presentation skills
  • Excellent teamwork skills with an ability to get the work done with minimal or no supervision
