JOB- Project Manager

LOCATION- Manchester

TERM- Permanent

SALARY- £45,000 – £55,000 per annum (dependent on experience)

My client designs and manufactures a range of industrial engineering equipment. They are looking for a Project Manager to join their team in Manchester on a permanent basis.  

The Project Manager will ideally have the following attributes:

– Qualified in Mechanical Engineering (NVQ / HNC / HND / Degree or similar) or be QBE from working in a similar technical role
– Experience of cleanrooms, laboratories, healthcare environments is a bonus
– Previous experience working within project engineering and also R&D
– Be able carry out mechanical design and read engineering drawings
– Excellent communication skills; both verbal and written
– Have previous experience working within a similar manufacturing environment
– Be able to work well individually as well as part of a team
– Be flexible to travel as required

The Project Manager role will involve:

– Managing a team working on the company’s product range; the new product introduction process
– Being involved in managing new product developments
– Taking things from concept to launch
– Helping to develop existing products too
– Liaising with customers as required keeping them up to date with project progress
– Producing technical drawings as needed
– Offering technical support
– Sourcing and selecting components that are required
