Are you experienced in driving cross-functional projects in the pharmaceutical industry? The position

As Project Lead you will report to the Head of Department, Senior Director Julie Ziegler Beckmann and you will play a significant role in ensuring product development excellence through collaboration and support to the project organisation, the GPTs and governance (DPPComm, PDCouncil and RareDCouncil).

In this role you will be the project manager for a digitalisation project of our Product Development Plans (PDPs). The PDP is a is a forward-looking strategic document for the targeted patient focused innovative treatment solution, outlining the path for the project towards the next gate and onwards with the patient perspective and the holistic product in focus. The PDP is the key strategical and high-level tactical document for each product, and the key decision document that facilitates all governance decisions. The individual PDPs are prepared and owned by the GPTs.

Your key responsibilities will include:

-Responsible for digitalizing our PDP in close collaboration with subject matter experts in the PDP and in digital transformation.
-Driving the project as lead project manager to identify digital PDP gaps and opportunities for the digital PDP, looking into industry trends and insights.
-Creating timelines, conducting stakeholder analysis, and providing recommendations
-Involved from project inception to execution, proactively planning and driving the project.
-Shaping recommendations and facilitating meetings with project members and stakeholders
-Requires collaboration and alignment with stakeholders across functions and organizational levels, including senior management.
 

This position is office-based in Søborg, Denmark.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, we are looking for a candidate with the following qualifications:

-Master in a relevant field combined with minimum of 5 years of project management experience, and with solid knowledge of and experience from pharmaceutical development processes
-You have excellent project management skills and have a proven track record of driving complex projects of a strategic nature
-You have strong communication skills and are capable of effectively structuring material to allow easy decision making
-You have experience in collaborating successfully with many different stakeholders across functions and at different organisational levels, including senior level management
-You have strong analytical skills
 

Finally, you have a positive “can-do” attitude and thrive in a complex and dynamic environment. You are proactive, ambitious, persistent with a high degree of independency and drive, and you like to challenge status quo and develop new innovative solutions to the challenges we meet.

About the area and team

The Development EVP area is responsible for driving innovative pharmaceutical drug and device development worldwide from phase 1 to product launch, and to ensure continued development through life cycle management. We work in a project-centric organisation, where cross-functional Global Project Teams (GPTs) drive the development with a focus on delivering viable products that make a difference to patients and benefit society. Our area is a staff function to Development Management reporting to the Development Transformation & Insights CVP unit. It consists of professionals and specialists with backgrounds in science, business, and finance.

The Project Leadership Excellence (PLE) team is responsible for sparring and support to the Global Project Teams (GPTs) and to the Project Vice Presidents (PVPs) chairing the GPTs. As a team we drive cross-functional activities, such as organisational or process improvement projects to maximise the potential both within the EVP area as well as across EVP areas. We support product development plans and create and promote knowledge sharing between projects and cross the value chain.
