The position
As Project Investment Controller, you will work closely with your colleagues including Project Director, Project Portfolio Manager, Senior Project Managers, along with peers within the Novo Nordisk financial organisation.
As we are expanding our manufacturing capacity on a global scale, preparing to expand with new products, you play a key role in ensuring implementation and use of best practice project controls, along with fostering improvement and innovation.
Your role also involves serving as a key player in a project environment, assisting project managers, as we continually strive to strengthen project execution and simplify work processes.
Your primary responsibilities include:
-Participating in the year- and month-end (CAPEX) project closing, ensuring postings and accruals are handled in a compliant and timely manner
-Managing budget & forecasting on assigned projects, along with driving financial analyses, insights, and presentations
-Contributing to activities throughout the life cycle of investment projects, ensuring project governance compliance
-Supporting on payments executions incl. alignment with stakeholders at global sites, as well as ensuring Financial Compliance and House in Order
-Driving continuous improvement of financial and control processes, further strengthening the connection between business plans, activities, and resources to ensure value creation
Qualifications
To succeed in this role, we believe you:
-Hold an academic degree in finance, accounting, business administration, or a related field, coupled with practical financial controlling experience
-Possess solid experience working with the Microsoft Office Package and ERP systems, preferably SAP
Demonstrate a structured, result-oriented approach with outstanding analytical and coordinating skills, capable of transparently visualising data and numbers
Showcase the ability to tailor communication to a broad audience at all levels, and deliver high quality presentation material
-Display fluency in both written and spoken English
It would be considered as an advantage if you have experience with Business Intelligence suites, preferably Power BI and knowledge in VAT and Customs finance related operations.

About the Department
You will be joining a finance team consisting of 27-30 people, where half of the people are non-Danish coming from 11 different countries. We drive the financial management and investment governance for the SVP area called External Supply in Novo Nordisk.
The department is split into three team: Business Finance, Production Finance and Investment Management. This position resides in the later and is reporting directly to the Director.
