For our client in Brussels we are looking for a Project Engineer Primary Systems. Our client is an European transmission system operator that ensures the reliability and sustainability of the electricity supply in our country.MissionAs Project Engineer Primary Systems:

• You are part of the “HVDC System & Onshore Substation” Package and report to the Package Manager;
• You work in a multi-disciplinary team of Project Leaders, Project Engineers, Experts, Procurement officer, HSE advisors, PMO officer, …
• You assist the Package Manager in delivering the Primary Systems (e.g., HV equipment) of the HVDC substations (offshore and onshore):
• You coordinate all the technical and engineering tasks of the Discipline
• You lead a multi-disciplinary team of experts
• You participate in the relevant production inspections and witness the relevant FAT
• You perform inspections on the Onshore Site (Herdersbrug) and confirm Mechanical Completion of the relevant installations and equipment
• You consult and align with the relevant stakeholders and experts/engineers

Profile

• You have a Master’s degree in Engineering or equivalent by experience;
• Experience with HVDC projects is a plus;
• You are highly motivated to work in a team and cooperate with others
• You are an excellent communicator (verbally, written, strong listener, … )
• You are organized and results oriented;
• You are assertive and good at facilitating consensus
• You can work in an international project environment
• Fluent in English (oral & writing), Dutch and/or French are a plus
