Project Engineer – Nichelino Plant

SUMMARY:

In this role, the incumbent will design the non-standard equipment, in particular will be responsible for the selection of the treatment and the related components.

The engineer will follow all the steps of water pre-treatment devices: design, drawings, bill of material, check the assembly and test the equipment.

Part of the activity is to review and optimize the standard systems and to develop new standard range, according to regulations and standards.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Support the activity of Engineering function in technical and commercial proposals preparation, cooperating with the commercial department.
• Translate customer requirements/specs into detailed project plans shared with company functions involved and driving internal execution to meet the targets.
• Provide personal solutions designing the equipment out of the standard range
• According to received instructions and standard regulations, prepare drawings, diagrams and layout.
• Optimize and standardize the selection of the components for the construction of standard equipment, using every opportunity of development of new models.
• Prepare electrical specification and functional logic for external company who provides electrical boards and PLC
• Prepare the bill of materials for the equipment out of the standard range.
• Check the equipment assembly making hydraulic, pneumatic and dimensional control.
• Collaborate with the customer project engineer in verify the equipment working and the PLC logic.
• Prepare run books and problem folders for the equipment out of the standard range.
• Collaborate with the Production Manager and equipment assembly operator to improve the equipment design.
• Ensure legal compliance relevant to all applicable national regulations. Manage the communications and interactions with the Company / external bodies.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

• Degree in mechanics, electronics or environmental engineering.
• Proven relevant experience in similar position(s).
• RO and UF design tools knowledge
• Autocad 3D and 2D knowledge
• Computer knowledge (Office, PowerBi,…)
• Machine Directive knowledge
