Then this job is for you!Vestas Mediterranean (MED) is an independent Sales Business Unit (SBU) within Vestas Wind Systems A/S, covering markets in the Mediterranean region, the Middle East and Africa. Vestas MED is responsible for developing these markets in terms of sales, project installation, and customer service. Iberia is a cluster part of MED region. The Customer Project Execution department is in charge of the construction of wind projects (EPC) and installation and commissioning of the wind turbines (supply & installation) under contracts sold by the sales department.ResponsibilitiesThe mission of the job is to support and coordinate the execution of of specified Wind Farm Projects (EPC or Supply and Installation) within the constraints of time, cost and quality and safety against contractual obligations. Key areas of focus include under exeution (planning, tracking and reporting), contracts management and implementation, resource planning and management, site liaison, client relationship development and leading, contractor / sub contractor management, and active risk management.They will be also involved in tendering processes related to subcontractors pricing, technical analysis, and sales support. Reporting to the Customer Project Execution Director, and supporting the Project Manager the profile is expected to fulfill:Main Responsibilities includes:

  • Coordinate and supervise safety and environmental compliance across projects, from awareness to audits and coordinate project communications, meetings, and negotiations to maintain solid customer relationships and satisfaction.
  • Ensure project goals for profitability, cash flow, and timelines are met and develop and monitor project timelines, implementing action and recovery plans as needed.
  • Provide transparent and accurate reporting on project progress and financial performance.
  • Aim for on-time or early project completion to maximize customer satisfaction and financial outcomes.
  • Establish a project execution strategy aligned with contract goals to achieve performance targets as well as promote continuous improvement by suggesting new methods and tools.
  • Ensure effective internal and external project communication.
  • Implement Vestas’ project coordination and installation procedures.
  • Contribute to procurement strategy, supplier selection, and subcontract compliance with project and contract expectations.
  • Support tendering with bid management, including pre-calculations, risk assessments, and site organization.

Qualifications

  • They will have at least 3 years of experience in construction/engineering, preferably acquired in the wind industry or in the energy sector.
  • Owner of an Engineering degree.
  • Experience in installation and contracts, experience with export and international will be beneficial
  • Financial and contract management skills.
  • Strong proficiency in spoken and written Spanish and English. Other languages as French, Portuguese or Rumanian would be an additional advantage.
