Then we have the job for you!As project Development Officer, you are the expert on acquiring research funding and developing new research projects in collaboration with (international) researchers, clinics and (medtech) industry. You specifically focus on supporting researchers with the conversion of their research ideas into research projects in close collaboration with industry, i.e. you will act as the linking pin between scientists and representatives of the medical industry. In close collaboration with your colleagues in the dynamic C3Te team, you also prepare, manage and organize meetings and events aimed at stimulating new connections, new funding opportunities and valorization of knowledge within the healthcare domain. Your expertise enables you to match funding opportunities with the innovative ideas generated by the researchers within C3Te. Together, new research ideas will be explored, and you will support them in clearly articulating problems, approaches, solutions and their impact on project proposals or business contracts. You take away the researchers’ worries concerning the administrative parts of projects during project development and project startup, and (where needed) support by performing project management.Job requirementsThe successful candidate has a PhD or Master’s degree in the field of electrical engineering, physics or equivalent, with affinity for the medtech domain, experience in medtech industry and knowledge of medtech research.The successful candidate has most of the following skills:

• Familiar with acquiring (inter)national research funding and developing new projects and know the rules and regulations imposed by the various funding organizations.
• Expertise in setting up quality research and innovation projects in collaboration with medical industry.
• Experience with structuring and substantiating research ideas into high quality project proposals.
• Team player with experience in cooperation with researchers, support staff, or equivalent.
• Excellent communication skills (written and oral) in English, with command over Dutch language for communicating with clinical staff.
• Goal-oriented, proactive, organized, hands-on, reliable and considered as a recognized sparring partner. You are flexible and can work under deadline pressure.
• Aware of how science works (preferably at PhD level in a technical discipline) and knows what drives researchers.

Conditions of employmentWe offer a challenging job in the dynamic, ambitious but informal Center for Care & Cure Technology (C3Te) at a stimulating and internationally renowned research institute. The salary depends on your experience and is in accordance with the collective labor agreement. We offer you:

• A monthly salary of minimum € 3.345,- to maximum € 6.148,- for full-time employment, depending on your knowledge and experience (scale 10-11), collective labor agreement for Dutch Universities).
