The Courtauld Institute of Art is the UK’s leading institution for teaching and research in Art History and the conservation of paintings. It is also home to one of the finest small art museums in the world. The Courtauld is currently undergoing a capital transformation project that will make The Courtauld’s world-class artworks, research and teaching accessible to more people – in the UK and internationally.This role based in the Student and Academic Services (SAS) department reporting into the Programme Administration Manager. The role holder will work as part of the Academic Programme Support Team to ensure that an excellent service is provided to both students and academics and student satisfaction is maintained at a high level. The core focus of this role will be to support Postgraduate Research students and lead on examination processes, and working as part of the team the role holder will support the administrative delivery of The Courtauld’s academic programmes and the day to day running of programme administration operations. The role holder will also support the Advice Desk providing dedicated in person guidance and support for students and staff.

You will have:
  • Previous work experience in higher education (HE) in a programme administration role.
  • Experience of administrating research programme processes, bursaries and scholarships and liaising with external partners such as AHRC and CHASE.
  • Knowledge and experience of servicing committees and Boards of Examiners.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills in order to communicate effectively with staff, students and members of the public.
  • Excellent IT user, fully conversant with MS Office.
  • Excellent knowledge of student record systems (SITS) and Moodle Virtual Learning Environment.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and able to work effectively and accurately under pressure to tight deadlines.

£36,950 per annum
