Your team: Growing premium programmatic revenues is becoming increasingly important for the success of The Times brand. We are seeking a Programmatic Lead to join our successful digital specialist team within Times Media London. Be part of a team and brand going through an exciting transformation driving our digital first strategy, products & leading first party data tools to our agencies and clients.

Your role: In order to facilitate this programmatic growth the primary focus of this role will be selling & representing our digital and programmatic product offerings & initiatives, as well as helping to support the publishing brand team & wider commercial floor with programmatic activation’s. The Programmatic Sales Lead is the programmatic sales expert and will work in partnership with these teams to set up programmatic guarantee and private marketplace deals with both agencies and clients. They will also work with the Programmatic & Revenue Operations team to maximise agency marketplace deals. Through the management and growth of agency relationships, this role is equally pro-active & reactive, sourcing new contacts and clients & in turn winning programmatic briefs helping to drive digital sales and success for our clients.

Day to day you will:

  • Drive programmatic advertising revenues by developing and maintaining relationships with key agency partners and specialist teams at clients.

  • Directly lead programmatic pitches and sales efforts to support revenue growth across The Sun

  • Build and manage a strong pipeline of new business opportunities and grow existing accounts.

  • Negotiate and secure new revenue through premium programmatic deals, leveraging a deep understanding of how this complements existing display spend.

  • Maintain an open relationship with Ozone to maximise programmatic revenue into newsbrands

  • Collaborate with internal digital sales teams and be the go to programmatic sales subject matter expert.

  • Engage with international agencies and clients to expand programmatic advertising efforts on a global scale and drive revenue growth in new markets.

  • Stay informed on industry trends and regulations, and provide thought leadership and insights to internal teams and clients on the latest developments.

What we’re looking for from you:

  • Extensive background in programmatic advertising sales, with a proven track record of exceeding revenue goals.

  • Considerable network and established contacts with major programmatic buyers throughout the industry.

  • Ability to effectively pitch and sell at a senior level to build strong relationships with key clients and agency partners.

  • In-depth understanding of the programmatic advertising ecosystem and the digital media landscape.

  • Strong analytical skills and experience using data to drive business decisions.
