Work Flexibility: HybridThe Job’s Mission:The Program Manager Operations will play an essential role in driving and executing key operational initiatives towards enhancing the efficiency and visibility of business processes for our Instruments division in Europe. This is a great opportunity to join one of the world’s leading medical technology organizations in our mission of making healthcare better!Acting as a central program manager for operations-focused projects, the role’s early focus will be on building capabilities for more effective backorder management and establishing robust processes for cross-organizational communication. Rather than simply overseeing these areas on an ongoing basis, the role is focused on designing and implementing sustainable, scalable solutions that will be integrated into the business long-term. This position bridges the gap between commercial, supply chain and planning teams – ensuring operational challenges are proactively addressed and strategic goals are met.Your early projects will include establishing a framework to provide transparency and communication on product availability, ensuring stakeholders across the organization have the necessary tools and information to make informed decisions. Working closely with the EU and US Integrated Business Planning (IBP) teams, you will spearhead projects that align supply chain operations with commercial business needs, ensuring efficient product flow while creating processes that reduce the need for ongoing management. In the mid-term, you will also drive other strategic projects that support long-term growth and operational excellence across the organization.This role can be based in any of our European locations – we offer great workplace flexibility with a hybrid work model.What you will do:Lead Strategic Commercial Operations:Develop and implement strategies that enhance operational effectiveness to drive revenue, expand market presence, and improve customer engagement.Collaborate with sales, marketing, and finance teams to align operational processes with commercial goals for optimal performance.Establish clear processes for managing product availability, end-of-life products, and inventory optimization.Eliminate Bottlenecks & Empower Teams:Support the transition to a decentralized, program-based decision-making approach.Empower teams at all levels with tools and processes for informed, autonomous decision-making regarding supply and demand.
Enhance operational efficiency by reducing bottlenecks and reliance on specific parties or departments.Enable Informed Decision-Making:Create standardized processes that allow cross-functional teams (sales, supply chain, planning) access to real-time data.Promote data-driven decisions to enhance response times to market changes.Manage High-Level Escalations:Act as the escalation point for complex operational challenges.Coordinate with stakeholders for quick resolutions to maintain an agile operations environment and prevent backlogs.Enable Scalable Solutions:Design sustainable operational solutions that scale with the organization.Shift focus from reactive management to proactive solutions, freeing up resources for strategic goals.What you need:Required:Degree in field such as Business, Project Management, Engineering, Supply Chain Management or in any other relevant areas.8+ years of work experience is required.Excellent communication skills with proficiency in spoken and written English.Excellent relationship-building skills, particularly in managing cross-functional stakeholders.Demonstrated proficiency in MS Excel and the ability to analyze data to support decision-making.Preferred:5+ years of experience managing programs or projects in operations, supply chain, commercial or any other relevant field, with a proven track record of leading operational processes.Experience in demand management and sales forecasting processes.What we offer:Flat hierarchies and a culture committed to achieve our mission and deliver remarkable results.We grow talent: we offer great personal and internal career development for our employees, with the possibility to make both vertical and lateral position movement.Recognition of your performance: at Stryker, outstanding individual and cross-functional team performance is rewarded.
