Offer DescriptionThe Dean of the Faculty of Mathematics, Physics and Computer Science, under the authority of the Rector University of Gdansk, announces a competition for the position of professor of the university in the group of research staff in the Department of Algebra, Institute of Mathematics, University of Gdansk.The competition is open to persons who meet the requirements specified in the Law of 20 July 2018 – Law on Higher Education and Science (Journal of Laws of 2018, item 1668, as amended) and in the Statute of the University of Gdansk dated June 13, 2019.Where to apply E-mailgabriela.wenta@ug.edu.plRequirementsResearch Field Mathematics » Algebra Education Level PhD or equivalentSkills/Qualifications– Academic degree of habilitated doctor in the discipline of mathematics.– Research interests in fractal geometry and systems of iterated functions.– Documented original scientific achievements in peer-reviewed journals, including after obtaining the degree of habilitated doctor.– Active participation in scientific life, manifested in particular in speeches at international and national conferences and symposia.– Experience in the implementation of research grants as a manager or contractor.– Organizational experience in the field of science and higher education.

– Experience in teaching at the academic level in the field of Mathematics.– Knowledge of Polish and English at a level that allows them to conduct classes in these languages.Specific Requirements
