JOB DESCRIPTION:
This position, open at IMT Mines Albi, is attached to the Industrial Engineering Center (CGI), which
currently employs around 70 people. The center focuses on organizational dynamics and the
development of decision support solutions in heterogeneous, collaborative, and uncertain contexts. This
is done by representing, modeling, and analyzing data from these organizations to formalize knowledge
leading to decision-making in heterogeneous, collaborative, uncertain and/or disrupted contexts. It is
structured along four applied research axes, drawing on four scientific disciplines.
The four axes are:

  • GOL: Supply chain management and organization;
  • SGC: Security and crisis management;
  • IOS: Organizational engineering for healthcare;
  • PSP: Design and development of products, services and processes.

The four scientific disciplines at the heart of these applied research areas are:

  • OR: Operational Research ;
  • IC: Knowledge Engineering ;
  • IM: Model Engineering;
  • SD: Data Science.

The Professor recruited will be responsible for strengthening the CGI’s expertise in Industrial
Engineering (IE), Computer Science (CS) and/or Artificial Intelligence (AI). He/she will also be in charge
of the Center’s Deputy Management and, as such, will contribute to the management and steering of all
CGI activities, particularly in terms of research and scientific leadership of the Center. The incumbent
will report directly to the Director of IMT Mines Albi and functionally to the CGI Director.
The Professor recruited will be involved in the school’s teaching project, training missions, research and
technology transfer activities, setting up and monitoring contractual activities and national and
international collaborations. He/she will be a driving force behind their development and will be called
upon to exercise administrative and managerial responsibilities, foremost among which is the CGI’s
Deputy Director.
As far as the role of Lecturer-Researcher is concerned, the incumbent will contribute to the training
courses offered by IMT Mines Albi, by taking part in the IE, AI and CS courses. He/she will also have to
integrate the CGI team’s research dimension by becoming a driving force behind the center’s business
and/or digital components, in particular by reinforcing the team’s expertise in CS and/or AI. He/she must
be able to set up and supervise research projects (fundamental or applied) linked to these technical and
scientific components.
As for the role of Deputy Director, the incumbent’s mission, in liaison with the CGI Director, is to support
the implementation of the center’s scientific and technical strategy, in the context of an international
positioning of excellence in the field of IE and AI, in line with the challenges of digital, industrial and
environmental transitions on the one hand, and France 2030 on the other.
The person recruited will lead and contribute to the preparation of activity and evaluation reports (in
particular HCERES, Strategic Orientation Committee, Research Committee, etc.), notably by monitoring
relevant indicators (human resources, sales, theses, publications, etc.). In particular, looking ahead to
2025, the incumbent will, in collaboration with the CGI Director and in consultation with CGI teams, take
stock of the past period and prepare the CGI’s new five-year HCERES project.
The successful candidate will also be expected to contribute to the CGI’s dynamic development,
particularly in terms of contractual and subsidized research. In particular, the incumbent will be
responsible for coordinating the center’s research work, in liaison with the coordinators of the
Disciplinary and Applied Research Axes, and the managers of the Experimentation Pole (IOMEGA).
He/she will also be responsible for encouraging, supporting and helping to set up new research projects,
in coordination with the CGI teams and IMT Mines Albi’s Department of Research, Doctorate and
Economic Intelligence (DRDIE). Supporting CGI’s national and international ambitions will be at the
heart of the new recruit’s missions.
Lastly, together with the CGI Director, the incumbent will be the center’s privileged representative on
various governance bodies, both internal and external to the establishment (Collège de Direction,
Collège Relations Entreprises, Conseil d’École, etc.).PRE-REQUISITES:

candidate’s field of expertise is preferably in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence or Industrial
Engineering (e.g. 27 or 61 French CNU sections or equivalent), with, if possible, recognized expertise
in one of CGI’s main fields of application: supply chain management, crisis management, healthcare
systems management.
The applicant will be expected to demonstrate, on a non-exclusive basis:
