Offer DescriptionRector of the Wrocław University of Environmental and Life Sciencesannounces an open competition for the position ofprofessor in the group of research and teaching staffin the Department of Environmental Design and ProtectionJob description for the position:

• Conducting research activities in the field of urban land reclamation and modeling and operation of water systems, including obtaining external funds for the implementation of research projects;
• Preparing and teaching classes in the field of modeling and sustainable shaping of water resources at various faculties and levels of study in Polish and English;
• disseminating research results in the form of scientific publications in journals indexed in the SCOPUS or Web of Science database;
• participating in scientific conferences/symposia (domestic and foreign);
• participating in workshops and training courses improving professional competences;
• participating in organizational work for the unit and university;
• other tasks assigned by the head of the unit, resulting from the profile and nature of the unit and university.

Requirements for the candidate:

• holds a professorship in technical sciences or engineering sciences in the disciplines of Environmental Engineering, Mining and Energy or related sciences;
• has teaching experience at the academic level in the field of lectures, seminars and project classes on the issues of irrigation and drainage, rainwater drainage and management, water distribution systems, traffic drainage systems, acting as a supervisor of theses and dissertations in the above-mentioned topics;
• has a significant scientific output published in scientific journals indexed in Scopus or Web of Science database;
• has experience in directing research work in R&D projects in the field of water management, ability to model drainage and water distribution systems, knowledge of drainage design and operation guidelines;
• knows Polish both orally and in writing;
• speaks English at a level of min. B2;
• meets the criteria specified in art. 113 of the Act of 20 July 2018, the Law on Higher Education and Science:
• enjoys full public rights;
• has full legal capacity;
• has not been convicted by a final judgment for an intentional crime or an intentional tax crime;
• has not been punished with a disciplinary penalty of expulsion from work at a university with a ban on working at universities for a period of 6 months to 5 years or deprivation of the right to practice as an academic teacher for a period of 10 years.
