As a professor in NMR Spectroscopy at DTU Chemistry, you will be at the heart of the NMR Center • DTU, a flagship analytical infrastructure pivotal to our campus. You will foster shared value creation, collaborating with various DTU departments and forging strong ties with national and international partners. Your role will also involve engaging with external industrial partners, enhancing the Center’s impact on both science and industry. We are seeking a dynamic individual who thrives in an interdisciplinary environment, excels in NMR research and teaching, and manages relevant administrative responsibilities within the department.Strategic Objectives
This professorship underscores DTU Chemistry’s commitment to advancing NMR spectroscopy through collaboration, education, outreach, and innovation. As a key figure in the department, you will facilitate cross-disciplinary research that leverages NMR expertise to tackle pressing scientific challenges. Our state-of-the-art equipment will support your focus on applied NMR spectroscopy in chemistry, chemical biology, and biotechnology.Key Research Areas
As a professor, you will be utilizing cutting-edge NMR spectroscopy to address a wide range of chemical challenges. Your research should enable groundbreaking work in topics such as structure elucidation, screening, reaction monitoring, mechanistic studies, green chemistry, analysis of complex systems, dynamic studies, and methodology development.Engagement and Leadership
In addition to your research, you will:

  • Supervise and communicate the importance of NMR spectroscopy as a critical analytical technology in chemistry.
  • Teach and participate in public outreach activities, promoting the significance of NMR spectroscopy and analytical chemistry
  • Develop teaching and education within the fields of chemistry and NMR spectroscopy.

You are expected to take a lead role in teaching at the BEng, BSc, MSc and PhD levels.DTU employs two working languages: Danish and English. You are expected to be fluent in at least one of these languages, and in time are expected to master both.Profile
You are an internationally recognized researcher with a proven track record of leading independent research projects, publishing high-impact results, and securing external funding. Your enthusiasm for interdisciplinary collaboration will further advance NMR as a vital research field, benefiting both academic and industrial stakeholders. Your versatile skills and project management experience will inspire students, technical staff, and peers alike.
