The Opportunity
We are looking for an experienced Enterprise Architect Practice Lead to join our EMEA Professional Services organization and lead our team of Enterprise Architects. This role requires a leader with a strong technical background, strategic thinking, and hands-on experience in both pre-sales and delivery. The Enterprise Architect Practice Lead will support the Services Sales team during pre-sales activities while also ensuring successful delivery of projects. You will mentor and guide your team in technical excellence and strategic alignment with organizational goals, ensuring that your team is prepared for current industry demands and future trends.
About the Team
The Nutanix Professional Services team delivers a strong influence on the success of each Nutanix implementation by its customers. The Services function ensures success by engaging with customers in the pre-sales and post-sales stages by assisting in their software-defined data center (SDDC) strategy and architecture. Besides helping customers implement Nutanix products successfully, the Professional Services team, working with our partners, ensures customer success in fully implementing their virtualized and software-defined data centers. The Nutanix Professional Services Consulting function includes assessment, design, implementation, integration, and automation services as well as project management.
Your Role

Lead and Support the Enterprise Architect Team: Provide leadership and mentorship to Enterprise Architects, guiding them in both technical pre-sales activities and project delivery. Ensure the team’s work aligns with the organization’s strategic goals and objectives.

Build and Maintain Client Relationships: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs and ensuring the delivery of high-quality services. Act as a trusted advisor, fostering long-term partnerships and ensuring client satisfaction.

Pre-Sales and Solution Design: Work closely with the Services Sales team, supporting pre-sales efforts by providing technical expertise, scoping projects, and estimating delivery costs. Ensure that solutions are architected with precision, feasibility, and long-term success in mind.

Project Delivery Oversight: Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of projects within the practice area, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. Support your team in managing project risks and challenges effectively.

Set Clear Performance Expectations: Set clear performance expectations and provide constructive feedback to team members through regular performance reviews. Identify and nurture the strengths and development areas of team members, creating personalized development plans to enhance their skills and career growth.

Technical Expertise and Industry Leadership: Stay updated on the latest industry trends and best practices in cloud, AI, and enterprise architecture. Ensure the team remains at the forefront of technological developments and is continuously improving their knowledge and capabilities.

Strategic Thinking and Alignment: Drive strategic initiatives within the team that are aligned with the organization’s region model and overall objectives. Develop long-term plans to improve processes, technologies, and team capabilities.

Monitor Financial Performance: Monitor the financial performance of projects and the team, ensuring financial targets are met. Implement corrective actions as needed to achieve financial goals, optimize margins, and enhance the profitability of the delivery area.

Data-Driven Leadership: Lead the team using a data-driven approach, tracking key performance indicators (KPIs) such as team utilization, billable vs. non-billable ratios, and project success metrics. Use this data to drive improvements, allocate resources effectively, and achieve business objectives.
What You Will Bring

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.

5+ years of experience in enterprise architecture, with a proven track record in pre-sales and delivery.

Technical Leadership – Strong leadership skills, particularly in enterprise architecture or related roles.

Pre-Sales and Delivery Experience – Proven experience in supporting pre-sales efforts, including solution design, scoping, and estimating. Hands-on experience of delivering complex projects within scope, time, and budget.

Client Relationship Management – Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong client relationships, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and delivering value through strategic advisory and services.

Strategic Thinking – Ability to think strategically, aligning team efforts with the broader organizational goals and effectively navigating business and technological landscapes.

Technical Expertise – Strong understanding of enterprise architecture frameworks, cloud technologies, and industry trends. Ability to stay ahead of emerging trends and technologies.

Data-Driven Decision-Making – Strong analytical skills, with a focus on leveraging data to improve team performance, optimize utilization, and drive better business outcomes.

Financial Acumen – Experience in monitoring financial performance, managing budgets, and implementing actions to meet financial objectives.

Performance Management – Experience in setting clear performance expectations, providing constructive feedback, and developing personalized development plans to enhance team members’ growth and success.
