Production Technician

Following our acquisition by ASSA ABLOY and our continued success in the UK market, Biosite is expanding its team. Joining our production team, preparing and managing incoming and outgoing products for our customers in accordance with the company procedures.

The position will report directly to the Production Manager, located in the Head Office based in Shirley, Solihull.

Main responsibilities and tasks

● Assembling Access Control and Fire Alarm System products.

● Working on Manufacturing Orders along with line cards/samples

● Refurbishment of decommissioned products.

● Hand Soldering.

● Use of manual and electrical hand tools.

● Testing of produced equipment.

● Quality inspection to match company standards.

Personal Profile: Essential qualifications, experience, knowledge and behaviors

● Basic experience in manual soldering.

● Ability to work under pressure, independently and as part of a team.

● Basic electrical knowledge.

● Previous experience in manufacturing electronics.

● Provide technical support to the Team Leader to ensure planned / unplanned work is carried out effectively.

● Reporting faults to the Team Leader / Manager.

● Complete duties to fulfill Production KPIs.

● Housekeeping and Tools management.

● Timekeeping.
