They are currently seeking a Lab Technician to join their team, where you will play a crucial role in maintaining laboratory operations and ensuring accurate scientific results.Role Description
As a Lab Technician, you will be responsible for conducting biological tests and experiments in compliance with GMP and EHS guidelines. Your work will support ongoing research, product development, and quality control processes. You will perform highly technical diagnostic tests, manage laboratory equipment, and maintain detailed records of experimental procedures. The role requires precision, attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and in team.Responsibilities
– Perform and report biological tests following standard procedures, including cell culture, titrations, microbiological tests, PCR, and immunofluorescence.
– Input test results into data processing systems and conduct statistical analyses.
– Ensure accuracy by reviewing and approving test results, and promptly identifying and reporting any deviations.
– Write, revise, and update SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) and Work Instructions in line with evolving laboratory standards.
– Participate in continuous improvement projects using Lean/Six Sigma tools such as 8-step problem solving and Kaizen.
– Conduct routine equipment maintenance, detect equipment malfunctions, and support general lab operations, including product ordering and equipment management.
– Support training and onboarding of new laboratory staff.
– Document work and findings in lab journals and present data in a clear, organized format.
– Ensure compliance with GMP, GGO, and EHS guidelines throughout all activities.Requirements
– Technical Certificate or laboratory experience in a relevant field (microbiology, biotechnology, etc.).
– Minimum MBO level 4 education in microbiology or a related field.
– Experience working in a GMP or QC laboratory environment, with an understanding of SAP and electronic data processing systems being an advantage.
– Strong attention to detail and ability to adhere to strict laboratory protocols and procedures.
– Familiarity with Lean/Six Sigma tools is a plus.
– Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to collaborate effectively within a team.
