About this opportunity

The Production manager is responsible for achieving the daily/weekly/monthly goals of production and quality, satisfying the requirements of our customers, as well as achieving the lowest cost in the manufacture of our product, using the most advanced techniques in terms of lean manufacturing processes

In this role, you will:

  • Role model in creating Align Culture,
  • Effective management of a production team of several hundred people,
  • Perform, adapt, and interpret reports and budgets,
  • Conduct capacity studies of the plant Volume vs. Requirements and delivery times,
  • Conduct capacity studies to determine the production “head count”,
  • Be aware of the required preventive maintenance of the equipment,
  • Apply the quality and manufacturing parameters of the company,
  • Application of programs, and manufacturing techniques,
  • Follow the indications contained in the Internal Work Regulations concerning safety and relations with other workers, as well as regarding the care of equipment, materials, facilities and other resources owned by the company,
  • Plan, manage and execute production requirements, as well as monitor the maintenance of quality, production, efficiency, safety, waste and operation costs, maintaining them at optimum levels,
  • Be active in production plan and execution,
  • Coordinate the activities of the different shifts to achieve production goals, costs, quality, productivity, absenteeism, rotation and involvement with support departments (Engineering, Quality, and HR),
  • Coordinate daily production meetings,
  • Plan for the fulfillment of the client’s requirements (production orders),
  • Present monthly results to the Management and to all the administrative personnel,
  • Conduct strategic planning of the objectives of the production department,
  • Implement Lean tools on the shopfloor, working on productivity improvements, cost savings.

In this role, you’ll need:

  • College degree or above,
  • Completed MBA studies will be an additional advantage,
  • 6-10 years total relevant experience. More than 3 years’ experience in similar position (preferably) in manufacturing plant( automotive or medical prefered),
  • Good English communication skill,
  • Basic knowledge of ISO 13485 standards and CFDA regulations,
  • Ability to perform volume results and production mix Ability to perform cost results per product unit Management and application of the standards and requirements of product quality,
  • Ability to implement improvements to the manufacturing process,
  • Capacity for involvement in all problems of quality and production of the plant,
  • Ability to make scrap cost reduction per product,
  • Ability to handle Microsoft Office computer packages and communication systems Electronics, finance, human resources and materials,
  • Ability to coordinate, follow up and implement projects in the manufacturing area,
  • Certification in Lean Manufacturing,

Work environment demands

  • Working Hours – Office Hours (flexibility required when necessary),
  • Must be willing to work overtime (within local laws and regulations) to prepare all needed systems to run the operation.
