As part of its commitment to responsible development, Imerys promotes environmentally friendly products and processes in addition to supporting its customers in their decarbonization efforts.The Position Product Stewardship VPJob SummaryJOB SUMMARY/PURPOSEThe role of the Product Stewardship VP is to lead the definition, development and deployment of the Product Stewardship program by providing vision and leadership, defining clear governance and clear roles and responsibilities as well as routines.Serve as the Group reference on Product Stewardship as necessaryLead, monitor and disseminate global chemical management regulations that impact the Imerys product portfolio. Lead the implementation of regulatory requirements that are transversal across Imerys Business Areas.JOB SCOPE/DIMENSIONSProduct Regulatory Monitoring: awareness and communication of current and emerging chemical management regulations, and their implementation procedures and data requirements, impacting Imerys products in all geographies and applications.Chemical Management Compliance: ensure Imerys Product Stewardship organisation understands and fulfils its product compliance obligations for chemical management regulations transversal to the company’s Business AreasKEY TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIESEnsure proper governance of product stewardship through the Product Stewardship Governance CommitteeDevelop and maintain up to date a register of all major chemical management regulations that impact or have the potential to impact the Imerys product portfolio in the geographies and applications they serve..Proactively track and understand the impact of global chemical management regulations and communicate the potential implications for key internal stakeholders (Product Managers, BA SVPs, S&T Leaders, Commercial Leaders) well in advance of their coming into force.Provide regular updates on emerging regulations to the Product Stewardship community.Guide Product Stewardship Directors and Managers in the development and delivery of regulatory strategies in support of their BA business activities to manage risk and support business continuity and growth..Coordinate, with local Product Stewardship Directors and their teams, global chemical compliance activities (registrations, notifications, exemptions) for new and existing substances.Serve as the company’s global expert in chemical management regulations that have broad, transversal impact such as EU REACH and other emerging REACH-like regulations (Korea, Turkey, Taiwan…).Lead or support key Product Stewardship functional excellence projects focused on instilling best practice throughout the organization through the leveraging of effective processes, systems, policies and tools.Support the Global Product Stewardship Director and regional Product Stewardship Directors with resourcing and budget planning to manage the implementation of regulations for individual BAs and at the Corp. level.Participation in external industry association Technical Boards, Working Groups and Committees as appropriate where skills/knowledge/experience can be best leveraged for Industry and Imerys impact.JOB SPECIFICATIONSEducation and Experience requirementsDegree, Masters or PhD in a relevant scientific discipline15+ years of work experience in a relevant technical fieldToxicology/Reg.
