Product Portfolio Management Lead

Alliance, Acquisitions & Product Portfolio Management

Høje Taastrup, Denmark, Onsite

Shape sourcing and outsourcing perspectives across complex development programmes and help connect product needs with external supply market opportunities.

Your new role

As Product Portfolio Management Lead, you will work across a portfolio of development products and act as a key link between product development, sourcing, outsourcing and external supply.

You will bring structure to complex cross-functional activities, ensure the right expertise is involved at the right time, and help translate different perspectives into clear recommendations and next steps.

A significant part of the role is project and portfolio management. You will create plans, identify dependencies and risks, follow up across stakeholders and ensure sourcing and outsourcing considerations are represented in relevant Core Teams and decision forums.

This is not a pure coordination role. You will be expected to understand the broader supply and supplier landscape well enough to form an informed point of view, challenge assumptions and contribute to Manufacturing & Supply Strategy discussions.

You will not need to be the technical specialist across every part of the value chain. Instead, you should know when specialist input is needed, bring the right people together and help move complex discussions towards robust recommendations.

Your main responsibilities will include:

style=”margin-top:0.0cm;margin-bottom:0.0cm” type=”disc”-
-Acting as a key Product Portfolio Management interface for assigned development products and Core Teams
-Connecting internal product and manufacturing needs with sourcing, outsourcing and supplier market perspectives
-Creating structure, plans and follow-up across complex cross-functional activities
-Contributing to Manufacturing & Supply Strategy development from a sourcing and outsourcing perspective
-Identifying risks, opportunities and relevant strategic trade-offs
-Challenging assumptions and contributing informed recommendations
-Ensuring the right Category Managers and subject matter experts are involved when needed
-Preparing clear portfolio updates and decision material for senior stakeholders
-Supporting continuous improvement of portfolio approaches and ways of working

Your new department

You will join the Product Portfolio Management team within Alliance, Acquisitions & Product Portfolio Management in Global Strategic Outsourcing & Devices.

The team works across development projects and helps connect product ambitions with external supply market realities. We collaborate closely with Global Direct Procurement, Global Contract Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Development, Manufacturing, Quality and other functions.

You will join an experienced team of senior individual contributors working in a highly cross-functional environment where success depends on strong judgement, collaboration and the ability to influence without formal authority.

Your skills and qualifications

To succeed in this role, we imagine that you:

style=”margin-top:0.0cm;margin-bottom:0.0cm” type=”disc”-
-Hold a Master’s degree within Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, Economics or another relevant discipline
-Bring a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience within project, programme or portfolio management, supply chain, procurement, strategic sourcing, external supply, manufacturing or a related area
-Have experience working across complex cross-functional environments
-Have demonstrated experience challenging assumptions, influencing decisions and contributing informed recommendations
-Understand how sourcing, supplier markets, manufacturing and supply considerations can affect product development and scale-up
-Can create structure and progress when priorities and ownership are not always fully aligned
-Have strong stakeholder management skills and can create followership without formal authority
-Communicate clearly with stakeholders ranging from subject matter experts to senior management
-Are fluent in English, both written and spoken

Experience from pharmaceutical, biotechnology or another complex manufacturing environment is an advantage, but not a requirement.

As a person, you are structured, curious and comfortable operating in ambiguity. You can bring different perspectives together, identify what matters and form a view of your own. You are willing to challenge constructively and help stakeholders move towards stronger decisions.
