Product Owner for Development Portal Team

What you`ll do:

On our mission to improve developer experience at SAP, we are looking for somebody like you. We are creating a new Scrum Team in Sofia, Bulgaria, that will join other teams to develop “Hyperspace Portal”, the new entry point for 50.000 product developers and related roles at SAP.

We are looking for a Product Owner of a small international co-located team, consisting of an architect, scrum master and 3 developers, and working closely with further teams, product managers and UX designers around the world.

We are looking for colleagues who have our end users close to their hearts. We are there to help our engineers to build better products faster, and their satisfaction is our primary goal. We are also looking for strong team players who love to interact with a diverse and fun set of colleagues to achieve a common goal.

As Product Owner, you give your team direction and focus through a clear backlog and well-balanced priorities, aligned to our overall strategy, and in day-to-day interaction with your team. With every sprint and with planning increment, we want to deliver business value and make our users a little bit happier.

You are also entitled to participate in our unit-wide research initiative that reserves up to 10% of our time for research & innovation.

What you bring:

We don’t expect that you know everything already – you’ll get the time to learn and colleagues will help you with that.

-Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, or a related field
-At least 5 years experience in the software industry
-Experience as Product Owner of a software product is a plus
-Excellent and clear communication in English, written and spoken
-Passion for making your users happy
-Business acumen (ability to prioritize according to business value)
-Agile mindset and experience with Scrum or SAFe
-Awareness on trends in software development
-Strong decision-making skills, balancing competing priorities and making informed choices
-Experience with Developer Portals and CI/CD is a plus.
