The position
As our new Product Owner, you will become part of IT Development within Supply Chain Optimisation, working across Clinical Supplies and responsible for 3-4 systems. The relevant systems each has in the range of 10-50 users in Clinical Supplies and you will be the interface of Line of Business (LoB) and the system, collaborating cross functionally with LoB, developers, and vendors to drive business processes.

This position has a focus on bridging the business processes and IT solutions. Therefore, you will have the opportunity to utilise your skills in driving business processes, to leverage business and system understanding and ensure that this is converted into flexible solutions to support the constant demand for transformation in our processes.

Your responsibilities will include:

-Driving product visions and roadmaps for a number of solutions and ensure consistency across solutions.

-Build, prioritise and maintain backlogs.

-Collaborating with stakeholders, developers, and vendors.

-Ensure user stories through understanding the processes and understand the technical part to be able to clarify and prioritise, when needed.

-Carry out agile events, possibly across solutions.

We have extensive system and tool support of our processes. Some of our systems and tools are developed by vendors and others are developed internally. We have a vision of becoming fully hands-off in our processes, and therefore we continuously develop our system landscape. You will be key in tying our solutions together in the optimal way.  

Qualifications

You hold a Master’s degree in Engineering, IT, Business economics or similar and have 5+ years of relevant experience.
 

Your other experiences include:

-Strong project management skills with experience in driving business processes and IT solutions.

-Experience with agile principles and tools.

-An interest in planning and supply chain management processes would be considered advantageous.

-Collaborated and building relations with stakeholders cross functionally.

-Being able to create and drive Roadmaps in each IT system

As a professional, you enjoy working in a fast paced, changing environment and have the ability to ensure flexibility in the digital solutions to change and adapt the systems. You will be collaborating and using your problem-solving skills with the business owner and end-users in Clinical Supplies. Furthermore, you will have the opportunity to work independently which would benefit from an individual who is self-driven, structured and targeted. Whilst not essential, it is advantageous if you are fluent in spoken and written Danish and English.

About the department

Before drug is approved for market use, drug candidates are tested in clinical trials. Clinical Supplies is responsible for delivering drugs for Novo Nordisk’s clinical trials around the world. Our tasks range from receival of the clinical protocol to final delivery of clinical product at site, which include planning, drug product filling, labelling, packaging and shipping of product. Hence, our processes include many different steps and hand overs.

Supply Chain Optimisation is a department of currently 25 colleagues, who work across Clinical Supplies and with direct link to management. Our role is to carry out strategic projects optimising the clinical supply chain. Our way of working is informal and ambitious at the same time. We work in close cooperation with Line of Business.

We are responsible for optimisation of the clinical supply chain, and our focus is lead time reduction and productivity and agility improvements. In recent years, many improvement projects and initiatives has been carried out. The main focus has been automation and digitalisation, and our ambition is to become fully digitalised.
