It connects partners, suppliers, customers, and travelers with solutions, capabilities and content to power the traveler centric journeys of tomorrow.The mission of the Creation Platform is to enable innovation , expand business value and increase process efficiency by sharing capabilities transversally across Amadeus’ businesses to enable openness and ecosystem integration.We are looking for a talented Product Manager with a deep interest in data & platform capabilities who can manage the complexity of the ecosystem, work with stakeholders from diverse teams , and show an enthusiasm about the Amadeus growth strategy.Your responsibilitiesYou will manage platform capabilities around event processing and data exchange in general. As a Platform Product Manager, you will:
- Conduct Requirement Analysis, Market analysis & IT /Technical watch
- Work on platform capabilities Strategy & Positioning, Value Proposition (including Product Lifecycle Management and exposure internally, externally) and work with Mergers & Acquisitions
- Provide support to delivery teams for Technical and Functional Solution Analysis
- Provide support to Execution (Prioritization, resource availability, budget)
Under the umbrella of “Event Processing and Data Exchange”, the Creation Platform provides the following capabilities:
- Event Enrichment: Correlation, event detection, aggregation.
- Operation Optimization: Event sequencer, archiver, replay capabilities for recoveries.
- Event management via control plane: automated deployment, observability of events produced and consumed, etc…
- Connectivity: integration with Global Event Mesh (Amadeus middleware based on Solace technology) to consume or publish events to all Amadeus applications
As PM owner of these capabilities, you will be responsible for :Positioning
- Lead communications with Engineering teams, CRP Architects, Internal Customers, etc. to identify requirements, opportunities, and addressable business and governance / compliance challenges.
- Facilitate the data strategy and ensure the adoption by other Business Units. Communicate capabilities evolution, collect feedback from users and from PM community to adjust the roadmap.
- Ensure maximum synergies with Data Exchange Platform project, which aims at creating a data exchange ecosystem between companies from the travel / mobility industry.
- Collaborate with Engineering community, CRP architects and domain experts or external consultants to consolidate a clear vision of the business environment: competition, partners, market trends
- Propose strategic directions to management to ensure one-voice communication (with investment / budget proposal, prioritization of features, etc.)
- Convey strategic direction to customers and other stakeholders
- Own and maintain portfolio business and decision logs
Lifecycle
- Run platform capabilities at various stages of maturity.
- Control the strategy for all the maturities from introducing new technologies (forecast adoption, define stage gates, be able to stop an ideation…) to the product end of life and decommissioning(replacement, migration, communication, change management…)
- Define metrics to monitor lifecycle progress and final success criteria
- Define the cost model and monitor the unit cost evolution capability
Execution
- Keep platform capability backlog updatedin close collaboration with relevant Epic Owners with changing priorities from the business, ADO or internal customers. Proactively communicate any significant changes to the backlog or roadmap to key stakeholder groups
- Own the long-term capability roadmap and the long-term vision. Work with Epic Owners, Product Owners, Architects, and Engineering to refine the requirements and feed the execution backlog and roadmap (Train and Epic Owner). Be responsible for a balanced roadmap to ensure a scalable and optimized user experience with a stable and performant technology product that continually meets business needs, NFR’s (Non-Functional Requirements) and System enablers
- Coordinate and prioritize feature delivery to match with go-to-market activities as needed for new features across the organization. Demonstrate a deep understanding of the problems being solved and what the market (mainly internal) needs
